The first time i saw The Black Dahlia Murder live (about 6 years ago) they all came down from the stage when they were done playing and gave autographs and had their picture taken with a shit ton of fans, but Brian went back stage and came back with a bag of guitar picks (not like a baggie with some picks, a big fucking bag with a shit load of picks), asked people to get in line and then proceeded to give one to EVERYONE that waited in line, he even gave me an extra one for my wife, he's a very cool dude.
that's really cool of them, never get the chance to catch them live yet, but they seem like cool dudes to me. I wonder if they're still that friendly and giving to fans, it would made sense if growing bigger would have limited that a bit, but I hope not :)
Johnny Morbuz hell yeah. BDM has always been the coolest dudes. Even back when they used to set up their entire set by themselves and just start playing. Love these guys.

Such a fantastic human as are the rest of the band.
They really are amazing people, they just played in Las Vegas a couple of nights ago and after the show Brian was talking to a young kid with his family and asking him if he had a good time, its awesome to see people like that and not have some big ego or be too cool for their fans. Very genuine dudes and it made me love this band even more.

Hahaha that comment about the EMGs hit me hard. I've been playing on an 81/85 set for over ten years and only just now considered that they might be dated. They still sound great, but damn, is it ever annoying to have to remember to buy and pack new 9-volts every time one runs out of juice. Great interview!
