I liked the Beach excepting the part where he's in a videogame. Loved Begbie in that film (Robert Carlyle, but he'll always be Begbie to me). DiCaprio is becoming a great actor lately. He started promising, had some movies where he just wasn't working and now he's really shining. Scorcese gets the best out of people. Aronofsky directed Pi and The Fountain. Christopher Nolan has done Following, Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige and The Dark Knight. Quite intriguing directors.
My favorite drama films are What's Eating Gilbert Grape Good Will Hunting The Shawshank Redemption Stand by me A Beautiful Mind Angel Heart and Casino.
Judgement Night is one of my all time favorite movies. The atmosphere it portrays in that movie, and denis leary is one heck of a bad guy.. For a thriller/drama type movie person who hasn't seen Judgement night yet.. Go GET IT!

That version of the vanishing is good but the original is even better. And Welcome to the Dollhouse is a classic. Check out Amadeus or The Last Detail if you haven't seen either of them.
I never knew that the airport in The Terminal was a 'fake' airport built just for the movie, and people were actually employed to run the cafes and shops etc etc. Interesting to know :)

L'Enfant I caught on TV late one night but I can't remember what happened in the end but from what I remember it was a good movie.
The Beach was a movie not understood by Americans. They don't have a culture of 'trekking' That is too bad because it was an excellent movie. Tilda Swindon was superb.

Judgement night is one of those movies that they put on TV at like 12am and you have no idea what it is but you end up staying up and watching it

Brokeback Mountain is my favorite drama film.. If not my all time favorite film.
