for those of us who worked our butts off at the 88 winter olympics, this song and what it means to all of us...will be forever chiselled into our psyche......great music, fantastically performed to remember an incredible journey.......thank you david foster......
It is fascinating how David Foster plays this so smoothly and energetically at a faster tempo than the original recording. As someone who performed this piano piece live before for a company event, it is not an easy piece to play once you speed it up.
VERY COOL!!!
GOOD TIMES! I thoroughly enjoyed the 1988 Winter Olympics! Memories that'll never die!
Best
I think David is the most beautifull composer I have seen
Agreed.
David Foster has the golden touch
for me, this is my favorite performance of winter games
Thank you for posting this Aumre. still one of the greatest joy listening to his masterpiece.
gonna play this song with the orchestra..and the concert will be 2 more months from now..wish me luck ^^
Ladies and Gentlement,... David Foster!!!.
Thanks for uploading this to YT. Dave Forster is just brilliant.
Love it....his song....he can play it as fast or slow as he wants
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate your infromation. I just remembered that I have watched this show on TV a little after the concert. It was one of the unforgettable concerts that I've been to in my life. Thank you again for sharing the great video which brings me back good memories. (Nothing to sorry about. Your English sounds perfect to me, better than mine. )
1:15 for wintergames for me to repeat again and again bfs it truly is my source of motivation to get over school
If you know who you're looking for, you can see the bassist sitting behind Foster, who's at the piano - the guy with the long hair and beard. He's Leland Sklar, possibly the most prominent session bassist in the music business. Probably the bass line just isn't coming through on this recording.
With a fan of David Foster, I listened well from school days.
This live is cool, too.A masterpiece.😆
Aumre, thank you for posting this masterpiece! Excellent!
It gives me goose bumps...
The man can definitely play his piano.
Aumre, thank you for for such an inspirational master piece!
your welcome, one of my favorite songs!
By the way Aumre, you're English is fine! Thanks for posting this! I get choked up everything I hear this, because it was truly a memorable time and it definitely was one of Mr. David Foster's best works!
AWESOME!!!!!

performances were outstanding in every way....
heey Aumre I`m from Indonesia..(Sorry for my very bad English but I hope you can understand me.).. Hahahaha... salute to you Aumre (y) Thumb Up
Man! Than Japanese orchestra is tight! Almost like sequenced, that's how much perfection they strive for. Gives the Master genius opportunity to relax about the timing and just play. I saw videos with him and other orchestra's where I cringed for his sake as they were fractions of seconds out sometimes.
the japanese play like a sequencer!!!!
I see Leland Sklar on bass there!
the title is "Can't You Feel It?", it was on his album called "Winter Games"
Mr. Chester Thompson playing drumms and Mr. Lee Sklar eletric bass...
I really love the bass sound in the original version ,it's badly missing here… I've never found who was playing in it….
the best

Wow! Where did you get this video? I went to this concert at Budokan in 1994 when I was living in Japan. Jay Graydon, Celine Dion, Peobo Bryson, Warren Wiebe, Color me bad also performed that day. It's so amazing that I am able to see it after many years. Thanks for sharing.
Music tempo is very fast, but the good job..!
im learning to play this song on the piano
Electric Bass Guitarist: Leland Sklar
Gandalf on bass. :-)
Karil Askar.. Lee Sklar bass and Chester Thompson Drums..the best rhytmic..

He's very fast.
Mamoru Motohasi well.. maybe because it’s in Japan 😂
Jaman kaset barat harganya masih Rp 3500 perak-an di Golden Truly...
Sekarang satu album udh nyampe 50.000-100.000 an lol...
Dan sayangnya makin banyak gerai musik yg tutup gara2 dibunuh era digital :(
wkwwkk tuwir ya...Kya nya dulu perasaan lebih laku yg lokal
1:15
MOTOR LAND 2 op
I can hear the bass player loud and clear
『The Symphony Session』『Touch of David Foster』

I like the Tachibana version a lot better.
Who take me go to this concert?
Rock Ver?
4:07
He plays unnecessary keys to make the music even better
nothing compare david foster :)
2:44 Ghosts?? Fantasmas?? K es eso??
Bravo! But too fast tempo...
And it's sometimes better
It does sound a bit rushed...but it's David Foster so can choose the tempo he wants lol
For some reason he played it way too fast in this performance.
ndpitch it's actually very good timing.
too fast... hmm...
but you enjoy it?
could be that the video is just a little sped up
Nope. I just checked it with a metronome. The original studio version is played at 120 beats per minute. This live version is around 132. Too fast in this version.
perfect

Is the origin of Vaporwave? The intro to "winter games" is basically that form to a tee. Blank Banshee (a fellow Canadian) is one to check out for reference. Amazing song from David Foster that lives on in the hearts of most Canadians!
winter games
Hi David, this is David Boudreau.
As you know I wrote follow up lyrics just a few months ago to “Winter Games”
I had no idea there were lyrics to it as the lyrics were copyrighted under “Can’t You Feel It”.
Too bad I was not around then, because my lyrics describe the feeling.
I was in Aspen Colorado in 1982 for the Subaru downhill ski championship.
I wrote the lyrics from my experience being there. It is more than “Can’t You Feel It”.
Just my opinion.
Best Always, David Boudreau
Hey buddy I love it!!! Completed the lyrics, Awesome!!!!! David
David, The lyrics will be sent to you for this “Winter Games” song.... please slow it down at the Barbra B Mann Hall on 12-22-21 and have someone sing the lyrics I wrote.
You have my explicit permission to use any lyrics I have written to your gorgeous musical compositions.
David
Hey buddy! David
