    One of the BEST guitar/music channels ever! Your Gibson factory tour with Jim Decola was awesome! I watch it over and over again. Thanks John and Zach. Love from Pearland(Houston), Texas.❤☺🎸👍

    I think it's hilarious when your videos coincide with my purchases. I just bought a pre loved S2 594 singlecut from my local music store. I really wasn't shopping for another guitar, but I plugged it in and just kinda fell in love with it. It truly is a great playing and sounding guitar. I read somewhere that the 24. 594 scale length thing comes from Paul and Ted McCarty measuring the actual scale length on some Les Pauls from the '50s and discovering that was the actual scale length as opposed to 24 3/4. I don't think you get enough love for your playing in these videos, you are actually quite good. Thanks for showing us another amazing guitar. Can't wait til you hit 50k, I've never won anything but green is my favorite color and I got my fingers crossed, lol.

    That tailpiece design gives this guitar unreal sustain. Tried out a single cut S2, blown away by its huge tone, sustain, playability, neck feel, looks, perfect workmanship.

    • @fargeeks
      @fargeeks 11 месяцев назад

      I don't know about sustain but it has more richer tone than something like on a tremolo bridge on a stratofaster

  • @DrJeebles
    @DrJeebles Год назад +7

    Outside of all the other things that make PRS guitars beautiful, I really love the headstock. I think those tailpieces are great as well.

      I think PRS has the best looking headstocks followed by Music Man. To me the Gibson open book is the second worst only to the giant V shaped Dean ones.

    I love mine. The neck is large but very comfortable. Bridge pickup is a eh for me. Neck pickup rules imo. I put a prs “metal” pickup in my bridge.

    Had the core 594 with a killer 10 top. Loved the weight of it and how to played, but my Les Paul just always sounded better lol i sold it and got a Les Paul Custom. I really wanted to like the PRS better, but just couldn’t. That being said, id like another once it makes sense, financially. Haha

    • @Squall6575
      @Squall6575 Год назад +1

      I think if the pickups are the problem, you can always throw in a set of PAF styles in the PRS, since all things being equal, they are great to play due to the weight and ergonomics!

    • @brandonbryson3317
      @brandonbryson3317 Год назад +1

      @@Squall6575 I had out bareknuckles Mules in the 594. I found the stock 58/15 LT’s to be very underwhelming. No balls or power lol just that super bright and trebly PAF tone. I always swap the pickups in my Les Pauls for medium output Seymour Duncan’s and will probably do the same if I get another 594.

    These are great guitars, I'm just not sure they are worth the extra over an SE. I love the look of these guitars, apart from one thing - the switch being so close to the body carve is jarring to my eyes. And now I can't unsee it lol. Great guitar though, and great channel, one of my new favourites!

  • @cmet8280
    @cmet8280 Год назад +1

    At twice the price and the same pickups and electronics as the import do you think this is as good a value as the SE version?

    • @barrygagnon8629
      @barrygagnon8629 9 месяцев назад

      Having had both, the difference is in the neck. The S2 has the same fretboard, frets and nut as the cores. The neck roll and finishing are outstanding on the S2. The brass tuning posts make a difference also. The S2 body carve is the most comfortable PRS shape with the possible exception of a silver sky.

    Hey guys, I like the channel. When you demo the guitar sounds with the backing track I think it would sound better to bring the volume of the backing track up and lower the guitar sounds.
