I actually work at a K1 speed location in NA. When he says people smash the wall, he's not joking. While I'm not a fan of the drivetrain and electronics of the newer model karts (Sodi and CRG karts are more refined and consistent from my expirence), the chassis and body are very resiliant and the barriers on track are very strong and cussion some very hard collisions.
They are definitely very resilient. It was a great time.

Haha! It’s a slightly flex for sure. Helped the weight distribution a little on the left handlers 😂

Love the content. I suggest getting some SNAP mounts for stuff like this. Nice magnetic mounts, they hold up for me at over 50 mph on a boat. Easy on, easy off, but they don't fall off.
Great idea! I found some roll bar mounts that started working pretty well.
Went karting for the first time there a few weeks ago and had a ton of fun. I wasn't very fast but at least I didn't run head on into any walls. Saw someone hit it so hard their helmet flew off while we were waiting. Thankfully they were ok, but their kart got governed quite heavily after that incident

There’s an interesting anecdote about Kimi Räikkönen, told by his former mechanic. Apparently a big name in karting circles, Norwegian Harald Huisman, had his own indoor track. Kimi was visiting him when his mechanic asked if Harald would like a new track record. He was told that the track is dusty and not in the best condition, but Kimi jumped into a kart anyway. Within 15 minutes he had a new record - on a track that had been driven before him numerous times by numerous pro drivers.

Show up to my K1 in Anaheim California and ill show up and teach you the line i get 25.5 sec laps there and i weight 180 you will fill the place up
