My problem with armor piercing is that materials in this game are so inconsistent. Some glass is absolutely bulletproof or sections of drywall, so even when you can melt someone through cinder block one second, the next, you're unable to shoot them through glass. FMJ on the G3 absolutely melts people though, that thing is a dream on full auto.

yes, and with most snipers, getting a long barrel+nilsound 90+high velocity rounds=1100+m/s bullet velocity
thats like 30cm drop at most when targets are 300m or less.

I’d love for them to buff the damage you carry over through cover if your using armor piercing ammo.
So you can get a 1 shot kill with snipers and marks man rifles.
It will still take maybe extra round with other category of guns but it would be more consistent.
No downsides so it will be a fairly useable ammo type.

The ammo types in MW2022 are a lot like equipping FMJ in older CoDs. Is it always useful? No. Is it always useless? No.
It’s always situational and how you intend to play can change how often that situation occurs. You wanna make the most out of AP rounds? Snapshot grenades are not a bad idea.

I love the games its in a lot, but let's be real, it's the crutch perk to end all crutch perks. 99% of the time in CoD4 it was the only red perk I'd ever run, and the only times I wouldn't use it was when there was a very specific build with a very specific weapon that doesn't benefit as much from the extra damage.

So I came here because I wanted to know what “wounded effect” meant and got lost while the creator of this video was talking. (He was confusing me and I almost left a dislike) so I had to google “wounding effect(‘s“ definition and it mentioned “frangible”. Then I realized that in this video he mentioned “frangible ammunition” and I finally understood what it does (explanation follows).
I’m making this comment for those who are just as confused as I was about “5.56 frangible” and/or “wounding effect ammo OR any ammunition in MW2. Hopefully this explanation helps you better understand why you may want to equip it.
Basically, (as stated in the video) you will want to use this in situations where you are either proficient in follow up attacks (such as shooting your enemy without killing him, he runs away like a coward, then you follow him and continue your attack. Most of the time, when you follow him he has healed enough to surprise attack you in your pursuit or just outlast you in a gunfight and you end up dying and getting pissed because you SHOULD HAVE killed him the first go around. But if you use “5.56 Frangible” he will not have enough time to heal when he runs away like a pus$y, giving you the advantage and hopefully allowing you to one-shot him after you catch up to the little roach. The other use of this ammo attachment is (as mostly expressed in the video) during OBJ also known as Objective based playthroughs. You will burn through your rounds trying to kill someone on or near an objective and fail at doing so leaving them wounded, capturing the OBJ. Usually they will heal fairly quickly (or in my opinion they will heal unfairly quickly) and have enough health to survive another gunfight or capture the objective before your teammate kills them and have to recapture it. BUT… with “wounding effect” or “5.56 frangible”, they will have a much longer wait period before they begin to heal, giving you and your team the advantage in a gunfight against them also increasing your chances of preventing them from capturing the OBJ.
Hopefully this helps the small community of confused players who clicked on this video to find answers. I’m only basing this off of what I learned from this video as well as my own research. If you have trouble comprehending anything in this video I highly recommend googling it as well as watching this video to get a better understanding. Thanks for reading all of this. Leave a like if it helps, I don’t get paid from your likes unfortunately but I do enjoy seeing that I was able to help people. Have a blessed day and see you in game.
