- A fun way to add multiple colors to your bold image stamps. This card also features the new 2013-2014 In Colors available May 31st! A few more variations of this card and technique can be seen on my Facebook page at / keenankreations .
More stamping ideas at www.keenankreations.com too :-)
Hi Lois! I've never had a problem with the ink drying before I had a chance to stamp it on the cardstock. I do keep my ink pads pretty juicy so maybe that helps too. Back in the "old days" I used to huff on the stamp to moisten the ink before stamping but I found it worked just as well without the huffing :-)
I would not have expected the colors to come out so vivid after the ink was applied this way. Beautiful, will try!
You're welcome Linda! Thank you for your nice comment :-)
Thank you Deborah! I hope you enjoy some of my other videos too. Please let me know if you'd like to see a technique or stamp set featured :-)
Thank you! I don't usually wash my daubers unless they have been really, really used. I try to use the same dauber for similar shades of a color. If I need a clean dauber, I just rinse it with running water and press it to a dry paper towel to remove any leftover ink and water. The daubers will be stained but once rinsed and dried, can be used again for other colors.
Was so inspired and impressed with your video and finished card this afternoon that I went off and made it straight away. Pleased with the results. Thank you for taking the time to make the video and sharing it with us.
Hi Natalie! I've never had a problem with the ink drying before I stamped. Back in the old days, I used to "huff" on the stamp to remoisten the ink before stamping. I got tired of that and found it worked just as well without the heavy breathing :-)
Fab technique using the Swallowtail stamp, you got very pretty results! The new In-Colors are a nice group of colors!
That is a great technique. You gave a good and clear demonstration too. Thank you!
I'm sure your friend loved the card you created for her :-) I just gave away my last one today, need to make a pile more ;-) Thank you for recommending my videos too!
This is such a brilliant way to color stamps. I've never been happy with coloring stamps using markers. Thank you so much! Can't wait to give it a try.
Thank you Kate! Sometimes the markers work well on stamps but sometimes they are a little "streaky". Daubers are great - hope you have fun with your projects :-)
Thanks Erva! This technique is also really pretty with different shades of the same color :-)
Lovely and creative card. Never thought about using the sponge daubers. I am so excited to use my Swallowtail stamp now. Thank you so much for sharing!
Glad you liked the project Laura :-) I need to pull out that stamp again!
Thanks Meli :-) It's funny how I didn't like this stamp the first time I saw it (seemed too big) but now I LOVE it!
Thanks Jules! It's kind of addicting, you'll want to try lots of different color combinations :-) It's also pretty with various shades of the same color too. Have fun!
Really cool idea. I am going to try the Dauber Tech. using my big poppy stamp. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Thank you for watching! I'd love to see your card if you post online :-)
That sounds really pretty! Maybe Primrose Petals or Crisp Canteloupe would be a good substitute for Melon Mambo?
Beautiful card and I loved your technique.
Beautiful! I hope to try this technique, soon!
I have watched a lot of videos using this stamp. THIS is the most BB UU TT full! I have a few homemade daubers made with PVC pipe and makeup sponges. Now I want to think about ways to use this technique with other stamps (I don't have this particular one). Thank you so much for sharing!

Gorgeous!!!! How is it that the ink didn't dry before you stamped it?
Just lovely :-)
I haven't the big butterfly yet but will try it with my tree stamps.
Do you have to wash the daubers before using on different shades or do they dry enough not too transfer providing you keep one dauber per colour family? Thank you .
So pretty!
Thank you Audrey :-)
yes i used the butterfly then sent tbe card to a friend recommending your videos
So pretty. Wish they still had that stamp 😔
me too!
Hi, this is so beautiful and inspiring, I have to ask what type of ink pads you are using please? TIA, Susan xx
Gorgeous! I have the StampinUP sponge dauber and have not used them yet. do you save one dauber for each color family or wash them after use? Thank you.
Hi Deborah, I do wash them but not after each use. I try to use the same dauber for the similar blues, greens, yellows, etc... but not one for each color. I tried that at first but found it easier to use them for similar colors :-)
hey that's very cool I love it!
very pretty ty
