I born in Pakistan spent 13years in the Middle East, spent 5 years of education in England. Honestly, I always feel I belongs to this land. Lots of love to you England.
What a lovely comment! Not sure if you live here in England or elsewhere now but hope you are well and happy. Have been to some of these villages and these beautiful photos make me long to return.
I Visited The prettiest village in England in the 50s with a school tour to Bourton on the Water. To an English man far from home you have brought tears and a lump in the throat. Many thanks for your tour of the Cotswolds it brings back memories
This is so beautiful, I am so homesick for England, although I am german. Roll on September for my next trip to Devon. Have to see this lovely Countryside in the video. I love England and her people!
True, but Britain as beautyful and preserved villages, and even towns, in vertually every county and region. There are preservation laws that protect them.@@nubiandoll7
My father's English friend, who emigrated to Australia in the fifties when asked the nicest part of England replied without hesitation 'The Cotswolds, dear, you can't beat it.'
Beautiful video, makes me cry with pride to be English, we are truly blessed to be born and bred in this beautiful gem called England, sometimes we forget how beautiful she is, Im a Wiltshire girl born and bred and it is lovely but the Cotswolds are without doubt the prettiest and Dorset comes a close second in my opinion.
bloody lovley could make a man cry how i love England's countryside and dramatic scenery a feast of natural beauty to fill ones hart with joy and mind full of wonder thank you for this vidio from a south yorkshir lad
Yes--Just like the Yorkshire Dales---wonderful. How fortunate we are. But is our land safe---the young today do not appreciate what the have inherited, and at what cost.
I took an extended trip to the UK back in 2003 and spent a couple of days in the Cotswolds. I loved it so much. Beauty and peace surround you, and you can walk to your heart's content. I stopped for tea and simply roamed. What a lovely place! Thank you for this wonderful video.
Anytime now but having said that it's beautiful all year around but this time of year is particularly nice. I live in the Cotswold's and never tire of it's beauty...
I have no idea why I have always been drawn to anything British. Since childhood; books, movies; history. I have no English ancestry. So one year I decided to go there and see if it was all that I dreamed about. England surpassed all my expectations. I absolutely loved it!
This is so beautiful, how lucky are these people to live in such a glorious place brings tears to my eyes each time I see this I would love to live there. Thank you.
Many thanks for "The Cotswolds" which never ceases to delight & inspire me during the long periods when I am far removed from that heavenly part of England.
I was born at the foot of the Cotswolds in Evesham, but moved to South East Asia when I married a Filipina, but I have now made up my mind to return to my beautiful England at the earliest opportunity. As they say, You can take the man out of England, but you can never take England out of the man ! It is without doubt the most beautiful place on earth, and the Cotswolds are it's jewel.
I have been to this place once. I am an Indian and for reasons beyond every non-Indian understanding, we love Switzerland for scenic tours (most of our films are shot in Switzerland). We planned to go to Interlaken for holidays until one of my English friends suggested me this place. I remained thankful to him even now. I could never forget that experience. Cotswolds is beyond words. Especially the beautiful English culture and its humility and stunning scenery. I loved bourton-on-water. Many thanks to uploader. Revived my memories ..
The Cotswolds are truly stunning , i live in Devon England with many Tolkin inspired hobbity Thatched cottages one of which i restored as it was dilapidated , myself and my wife and boys restored it by our own hands restoring the inglenook fire place which i could stand up in and a bread oven which was a hole in the fire place wall, and 2 large holes in the outside wall of the house to keep bees in , reed ceilings , willow walls and a priest hole for a catholic priest to hide in in fear of being discovered by the protestants , records for the cottage dated 1415 pre battle of agincourt days of knights and chivalry , alas 2008 crash lost the business and my home and my family , iv got them back now but i miss that cottage , a labour of love .
bloodyhell Clive---just as I was enjoying your story---bang ! Well, I sincerely hope you and yours have fully recovered by now, and have found a new project to complete.
Living in the Cotswolds I do tend to take this all for granted, it's not until I venture elsewhere do I realise how beautiful the area is. My favourite Cotswold town/village - Chipping Campden.
It's the own paradise on Earth. I'm sure there is a peace who I have been looking for, I need to visit this place someday to take some days off relaxing and writing poems. 🌹❤
If one day some blokes begin to build in this soothing ,lovely natural setting thoroughly unfitting ugly asian mosques and stern american-style sky-scrapers it will be marred forever ,it never will be so lovely as it is now. Please ,keep up well this old English loveliness of landscape and sweetest prettiness of the buildings.

What I do now is searching internet for places to stay and I want to WALK THE COTSWOLDS. Its beauty is deep in my heart. Definitely one of the most stunning places on this planet.
Parece de cuento de hadas....lindo lugar...a quien no le gustaría vivir ahí...paz.. tranquilidad..perfumes de las flores..frescura de la naturaleza...sus aguas..y montañas de nieve..
Its amazing that buildings are still standing from 500-1000 years ago (Churches & CASTLES) but they certainly don't make them like they used to thats for sure...
Love your video very much!! Mr Woods, I saw yours and so much and visited there last summer. We stayed in a cottage at Burton-on the water and visited most of the places you took in the video, it's amazing!! It was our unforgettable holiday at England!! Thank you so much!!!!
Omg this is so exquisitely beautiful and enchanting. I wish this were on dvd as I would buy it yesterday. This is what I have been looking for, endless pictures of beautiful villages and cottages in the Cotswolds. I first fell in love with the Cotswolds after watching an enchanting little movie several years back called Tawny Pipit. I was besotted with the village and pond in the movie and had to find out where it was. It was filmed in Lower Slaughter. I would give anything to live in the Cotswolds. Thanks for the beautiful video.
Watching this beauty then you realise again there is a Creator. My greatest wish is to visit it everybody that's from the UK if you asked them what must I see if I visit there they will always recommend the Cotswolds. Those who haven't visited it in the UK shame on you enjoy God's beauty given to you.
No there's the lake district,Yorkshire, Cambridge, Oxford,Winchester,Bristol,Wells and many many more places to visit in ENGLAND theres not just the cotswolds..

I spent several days in Cotswold country in 1993 with a few other professors from New York University (New York City), after a weeks conference in Wales. Your photos certainly capture the Cotswold's beauty as I remember it, and, as viewed in my own photo album and video. Much appreciated. Bill Bryan, Ph.D., Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA
RAY--IT'S YEARS NOW, SINCE YOU CREATED THESE LITTLE VIDEO MASTERPIECES. THIS YEAR, 2018, HAS PROVIDED SOME BEAUTIFUL WEATHER TOO, JUST LIKE YOU CAPTURED HERE. I HOPE YOU FOUND SOME MORE CREATIVE IDEAS.
First of all I loved the dog cam. It went through areas of Heligan that I visited in 2000. The photographic presentation is fabulous. What a wonderful thing to be able to do for all to see. Heligan is truly part of heaven on earth. I hope to return.
If I could just appear there this instant!? I would never come back... this feeling... of going there and not just as a tourist but staying!! did I live there in a past life?lol, cause to me this feels so amazingly gorgeous and like home, why be anyplace else?...one day..
SO BEAUTIFUL AND SERENE...HAVE VISITED ENGLAND, BUT NOT THE COTSWOLDS..I'D LOVE TO SEE THIS PLACE IF I GET TO COME AGAIN. GREETINGS FROM NORTH CAROLINA, USA.
I have walked in the Cotswolds many times over the years. Including the Cotswold Way in both directions. Now though due to age and infirmity I am no longer able to walk very far, and even the beautiful Cotswold countryside I find too challenging. But I have my photographs and guide books which jog my memory as to where and when I left my footprints there. I remember travelling home from a walk I had done and I stopped in Bourton-on -the-Water. It was late on Christmas Day and I stood on one of the bridges and looked along the river to where a beautiful illuminated Christmas tree stood and it was reflected in the water. Either side of me were the soft lights of the houses. A magical scene which raised my spirits at a low point in my life. To anyone whose appetite has been whetted by this excellent video I suggest that you begin what i think would be a long love affair with the Cotswolds with walking the Cotswold Way from Chipping Campden to Bath. It is clearly way marked and takes you along the highest parts of the Wolds with stunning views and down through woodland walks, prehistoric sites and honey coloured stone villages, ending at Bath Abbey. If the Cotswolds are the jewel of England, which they are, then Bath is its richest jewel. After completing the Way then plan to return and visit the places in this video and many more like them. Happy wandering.
Thank you so much for this lovely comment Mike, I agree with every word that you have said about the Cotswolds. I live in the Cotswolds and never get tired of the beautiful scenery and views no matter what time of year... :)
THANK YOU FOR THAT VERY DESCRIPTIVE IMAGE, I WAS ALMOST WALKING WITH YOU. TROUBLE IS, I CAN'T EVEN WALK TO THE HIGH STREET ANYMORE. THE LYRICS OF THE OLD SONG ''GREEN HILLS OF SOMERSET'' SPRING TO MIND, WITH THE LINE, GREEN HILLS, NO MORE WE WALK BY YOU, GREEN HILLS NO MORE''.I'VE SET MYSELF OFF NOW--
I live here in the Cotswolds but never tire of this beautiful part of the world where you can always jump in the car and see something completely different to what you saw the last time, it's always changing, yes please come back and enjoy this lovely part of the UK...
Love it ! I often make 3D models and without doubt, the Cotswold is my favourite flavour. Thanks for sharing - this video is one of the best I have come across of this beautiful area!
