my biggest regret in my 20s was making it all about work. being respected for working hard mattered more to me than enjoying my youth and having fun.

I’m 18 right now and in my first year of college. 5:23 really hit me because I’m working on a degree I don’t care about and don’t plan on entering the particular field of work. Only doing what I’m doing rn because of my strict Asian immigrant parents. I just don’t know what to do with my life😭👍
GREAT NEWS GUYS! I talked with my dad today and we agreed that I can pursue design! I think he understands how much I’m struggling with computer science (they assumed I would be good at it because my brother is doing computer engineering). Now I plan on working on my portfolio this summer and I’m gonna try to get into university this fall❤️🙏

I'm currently doing my Master's degree but I am too sad to even continue living. I developed severe anxiety and depression 2 years ago, it has been so hard for me to go on. This illness interfere with my life activities making it so hard for me.

I'm heading into my late 20s now and the advice you gave about knowing psychology so you can avoid dangerous people hit me so hard. I grew up so sheltered and was extremely naive as a result. High school through college, I got manipulated by horrible people over and over again because I didn't know how to spot bad people so I could avoid them. They wreaked havoc on my life because I let them get too close.
Still dealing with the fallout those people caused even after all these years. I wish someone had taught me how to recognize wicked people.

I am 34 and will be 35 in September, and have to say that I completely, agree and relate to the whole life summary and 20's wrap up of this video that you did. I honestly couldn't have put everything you said better. There honestly is no secret to growing up and living life, except to do it and learn and grow from your mistakes and take things as they come. Be humble and respect others and meditate and respect and enjoy everything you do and have done to get you where you have been. ❤️😘 Love you hun, keep shining and being the beautiful soul that you are. I’m in my late 20’s and going through difficult time. Quit my restaurant job last year to go and spend time with my partner for few months (we are in ldr) and I don’t regret a single bit of it but what I regret is not putting my best with whatever work I’ve done in the past. I’ve been so stress and sometimes anxiety takes over my mind and think things that I shouldn’t be thinking (suicidal thought) because things just doesn’t go in my way. I feel like a failure and don’t know what to do with my life. I’ve already spent all my savings and barely surviving. I’ll start changing myself step by step, it might be very slow but I just need to go through this.
I'm in a similar correlation as well as I am getting into my late 20's. I feel like I am still not sure what I am doing with my life and just living it day by day. Don't have the ambition to do anything or try anything new honestly. I also feel like a failure within my family, even though I was the first to go straight to college and get my BA.
I think one of the biggest things I have learned is just do what you want and find out how to think and tackle your problems never let people control you in the end you will the one steering your own life. I'm not 30 but that's all I got lol

That is interesting that you bring up not sleeping around. I (25) always feel pressured by my girl friends to have sex with a lot of guys. I’m not confident and have trust issues so I don’t give into peer pressure but I feel like I have to put up a front because I want to be accepted and not seem like a prude. I support them in their choices but I don’t feel like they would understand. I want to be in a trustworthy and respectful relationship with someone for a while so I can really know them before I sleep with them.

umm, ignoring that super ugly and gross comment above me... i'm the same as you! i'm a very sex positive person however i just personally don't feel comfortable having sex with someone i do not completely love and trust, which takes time! a lot of people really do look at you like an alien when you tell them you're not having sex all the time in your early 20s! lol but it's sooo important to follow your heart and intuition and to never give up your boundaries due to pressure from your peers or partner. i love and respect my friends who do enjoy casual sex but it's just not for me!

I am almost 27 and have to say, i feel like my 30s are going to be much better. I am a mess right now in my 20s. My mother said her best life was during her 30s. So i don't worry to age at all at least mentally. I struggle a little with my health since my birth, so aging psychically kinda takes a toll on me on.
30s has been my best years so far, wiser, make more money, and still looking fly ❤️

Thanks for sharing this Grace, it's great you took that leap and followed your heart. Nothing is ever a sure thing when doing something like that, but as we saw from the pandemic, even our regular jobs and careers can be taken from us in an instant. I agree that in your 20s, you're completely different as you grow into your 30s. The expected timeline for people to follow is set by society when it comes to settling down, we all do not fit that mold. It is okay that we don't!
It's wonderful you are who you are now and the path you've taken along the way. Also, you believe in energy and everything like that. I feel you'd def be cautious of who you give your time and energy to on any levels of relationships. With all this said. I hope you will take this month you celebrate you! I’m 22 now. Growing up as a young teenager who was only 14 then, I’ve learned to become more independent. Since my mom didn’t really paid attention to me. Due to the psychological abuse I’ve experienced from my mom and older siblings, I’ve learn to protect myself, know my boundaries with others and most importantly become a strong individual. Over the course of 7-8 years… I’ve finally moved on (healing) from my past dilemmas. Looking back at repeating events, It’s good to say that I’ve never felt this good and brighter in life!

I am glad I also didn't get married or have kids yet either, and I am getting into my late 20's. I love kids and always get baby fever whenever I see toddlers because they are just the cutest, but I know forsure I am not ready for kids. I can't even support myself right not and why should I have kids, you know? 😅 To each of their own but that's just me. My older brother once told me that 'if I am single, how come I'm not exploring the world or go out and try new things. I am not tie down yet, and I am pretty much still free to almost do whatever I want.' However, the thing is my ambition is not that high. 😅 That's the only sad thing about me. I just live life day by day. Changing takes time and it's hard because I lack ambition. When I stress or get depress, I just chill and relax at home. I don't mind being adventurous from time to time, but I'm more of a homebody type of person.

I grew up with very kind people too. Ended up working for 2 terrible bosses, who paid me below minimum wage. I prayed for about six months just to have the courage to quit... Not knowing the there are evil and egoistic people out there can be very dangerous.
