Total waste of time and money Candlelight Concerts Coldplayin Amsterdam. My wife and I were so disappointed, that we left in the middle of the show. There were just 4 musicians playing so unprifessionally, that our ears were close to bleeding out. The sound was also very quiet. Such a disappointing experience. Don't believe positive reviews. I'm 100% sure they are writing them themselves.
Heyy good to know about this.
Me and my friend are planning to visit this show but as i know about your experience to drop my plan.Thank you for your review.
Bs careful with the scams, people
What scams?
If someone asks what scams, then help and answer them please, because i am also curious what is a scam about this?
@@JH-qz6enI've seen other comments about the lackluster quality of musicians, but that seems highly subjective
I don't believe the quality of musicians, that is, their competence and musicianship, is subjective. However, that it not my point. What I want to say it that at the concert I saw, the musicians were in one case a concert pianist and in the other a serious professional. You can't fault the quality of the musicians themselves, but the performance was definitely underrehearsed. I think they must have been paid enough to make it seriously tempting, but not enough to go the extra mile to make it flawless. Also, they had clearly been told to just shoehorn in any old duets that they might happen to have in their repertoire - never mind that the programme was supposed to be The Nutcracker. Or maybe the musicians, like the organisers, just assumed that the audience would not be very discerning. And even if they were, what were they going to do about it? You can't even leave a negative review.@@eddielorentz8019
I think there have been scams with the ticket sales, but that was not the problem I had with these concerts. My problem was that the event was clearly all about cost-cutting, to a pretty laughable degree. There are many, many real classical concerts that you can go to for less than the price you pay for one of these substandard events. @@JH-qz6en
In person, it doesn’t seem to be as good
your expectation is due to the place. In the case of a large, historic, old theater, I guarantee that the experience is different, but they also perform in spaces that are not historic theaters and this really diminishes the experience.
@@diogoaw is it worth it ?
@@HadeelAlmalikir u going to the one in jeddah??
@@maha-tg7dfI’ll be going to the one in Jeddah on the 29th of August in hilton
@@Khaled19998what’s the theme? I like that they are doing something different
What you do is scam people.
How?
Did you show up late?
?
Meretricious, ersatz and in bad faith. In French, de la poudre aux yeux. In English, the Emperor's new clothes.
You are not supposed to notice how underehearsed it is, or to wonder why the programme is so bizarre, or why there is a compere dressed in a business suit who keeps reminding you what a great time you're having... Neither are you supposed to find anything odd about the fact that there is no programme, not even a printed slip, or that they clearly don't want you to know too much about who certain of the perfomers are... I came out wondering why a concert pianist would touch this with a barge pole (the pianists were named and can be tracked down on the internet, unlike the dancers). In fact, so many things about the whole set-up are so very odd, I could keep myself entertained Googling it all for hours. Only the negative articles and discussions have all been spirited away, so I can't even do that. If you have any discernment whatsoever about classical music - keep right away from this outfit.
