- After not having shot an auto since 22 May 12, it was time for me and the instructor to get back into the swing of things. What a difference three months of no-dual instruction makes. Took me a little while to get the hang of it, but by the end of the flight, all was well.
Flight Duration: 1.1 Hrs.
Total Time: 28.2 Hrs.
Thanks for watching...glad you are enjoying them. It's all my flights minus my night requirement flight which didn't turn out due to low light (obviously)
oh sure...we normally worked on them when we were working on hover auto's. My DFE spent a lot of time making me do slope landings during my checkride too. it's pretty important if you think about it. any time you don't land on concrete, it's gonna be less than level, so knowing where to put your cyclic as you lower is critical...and knowing the limits of what slope you can land on. thanks for watching!
love these videos watch them everyday its fun to see rich and timmy tear up the skies
Thanks for answering. I better start saving up for a future dream. Awesome videos by the way. Thanks for sharing it on youtube, and I hope you will keep sharing more!
AH this is the helicopter fishing guy!! (That snatch an RC 51 mustang from a tree) lol! Amazing pilot!
i have only about three or four more flights before having my license, but I will definitely post those to youtube. Thanks for watching...
Thanks for the comments...he's a lot of fun to fly with
yes, the pedals control the tail rotor. helicopters are inherently unstable, but I think the fact that I only have 30 hours adds a bit to it looking shaky. Plus, the R-22 is a sensitive little helicopter to fly because of it's small size. Thanks for watching.
It is all about attitude, Nr, and Ball when it comes to Autos!
Proficiency is key, but once you have done enough autos, muscle memory is there!
Your instructor is awesome :)
great work gentleman super instructor nice flying be blessed !!
I love that instructor lol. Great flying!
i love watching chopper flying, so damn wish i could get in one and do it
Hey, nice video! And great flying :)
"If we need to bump up a little into the red we can" Wow.
Thanks!!!
Not yet. Scheduled for 12 Nov 12...wx permitting
Did you have your check ride yet? You indeed have a real solid instructor.
I have never been in a helicopter but still love the idea and the thought of having a helicopters pilots license. PLEASE do an AMA on reddit.com. Your "helicopter fishing" video with the RC airplane rescue got a huge response and I'm guessing if you did an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on reddit you would get a huge response. You're fucking awesome!!!

What is your instructors name. I have 14.5 hours now and would like to train with him later sometime. I like how he talks you through things.
So, how much does a small chopper like this cost? must be heaven on earth to fly one of these.
can you explain how this works? what does the big long handle control? and are there are any others?
Did you wind up buying your own R 44 do you still see or fly with this instructor?
Did you have to do slope landings set downs? I hate them so much.
How this is great. Mind me asking how long you have been doing this and when you started (your age)?
Hi,
What are pedals for? Controlling the tail? Sometimes it looks unstable, but maybe that's the way helicopters fly?

Are you from the helicompter fishing video on reddit
Base price of 265,000...
Cinco Boatworks I remember when my friend Tom bought his first R22 back in 1986 for 44,900
and...engine failure.
message me...
well, you can either get a really good paying job, or you could marry a very rich woman....those are my first two suggestions.
