When I was a little more naive, I once imagined tech to be a panacea that would only attract those with relevant competence towards building things and engineering. #idealisticyouth This is not what Silicon Valley culture is about. There are some very smart people, of course. But they're rarely the face of innovation. Silicon Valley is filled with an entire layer of people who exist on false impressions, selling things that don't exist, chasing money, and over-inflating of their own personas. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen people, like Elon, who propose themselves to be "tech visionaries", that don't actually have any real engineering abilities whatsoever. Elon just happens to excel at this game, and far too many people like to believe in superheroes. If you want heroes, look for the real engineers behind the technology of his companies. The ones he's pushed to the side along the way very often. Look at some of the most brilliant people who've walked this planet, most of them have enough intelligence to check their ego at a certain point. Most of them think more before they speak than Elon does.

Re-think your difinition of trollwe: I would be considered a troller because I am very interested in what is going on in all the wars and politics. I have to watch many, even flip thru, many stations to find something that looks like information. I have to even get input from the universities who broadcast political stuff.
