Amazing game.. I’m playing it on 360 and I can’t believe I just found out about it this year… skyrim really stole its thunder. Really enjoying the combat I’m a mage now.

unrelenting assault is probably the most important tool of a melee character in KoA, as the amount of knockback that disrupt your attacks is ridiculous.

@tmy8711 The dodge is alright but you will sometimes miss the 3rd or 4th hit that causes a stagger on an enemy so you'll need to restart the hits again. The blink is even worse as when the blink ends, there is a slight delay so even the poison and ice blinks are kind of useless.
Because I played a lot of Sekiro, PSO2 and other games that has a Just Guard mechanic, knockback trembles when I enter the game.
I like this character.

Might + Sorcery is my favourite. I love blink ability so much, and meteor is cool too.
I don't think the Might destiny "Chance to stun" works the way people think it does. It increases the % chance that you stun with any affect that already has a stun chance.
So for example with the might tree the physical damage spell with the rock pillars.
If you upgrade it enough eventually that gets a 40% stun chance. That would go up to 60% if you add the 20% from the final might destiny.
The effect won't apply to anything that doesn't already have a stun chance, so you won't randomly stun with your weapon attacks.
for me it works but only if you use it with multiple enemies, 1v1 its a crap stat.
Currently playing this for the first time because it was on ps plus. I am so impressed by this games combat, story, side quests, etc. I am doing it blind and just wrecking with the hammer. Its slow but the damage is stupid fun. About halfway through the game so far.
Rast Brattigan is my favorite npc. She is such a gem.
You've probably alreadyade it through the end of that DLC; but for anyone who didn't if you take Rast into the final dungeon with you and talk to her afterwards She'll give you a unique greatsword and an achievement for "wooing" her.
@@chesterstevens8870 I ended up wooing her by luck. I just never could be mean to her. Now my biggest issue is im level 27 and trying to find an enemy 4 levels higher than me seems impossible.
Yeah and what blows me away is this game came out 15 years ago on the 360...
Blademaster is actually crazy strong, if not the top. I don’t know the talent names off hand, but there is 2 abilities in finesse: 1. that increases crit damage 2. One that stuns enemies per hit (utilizing daggers or faeblades makes it occur very often) . Might has an ability that increases stun damage by %100 - all these abilities can go beyond their limits with gems or armor.
Also a lot of nice utility abilities in might.
Idk man mage class is op as hell too lol there's one spell that drops meteors, ice and lightning and Just wipes the floor with anyone or mob.
The first thing that pops out to me "do you EVER try to block counter?!"

Might Sorcery: Just a few points in the skelly bro can already get you some nice cannon fodder to distract enemies and makes it easier to pull of those wind up attacks on Greatsword or Hammer.
Videos like this will help the game alot, if this does well enough this year it may get a sequel after the DLC
@Jacob J479 I recently got halfway through the original before getting Re-Reckoning tonight. Just realized a few days ago on the original that I didn't have to hold down the "A" button, and just had to click it. XD
So, if that's one of the only issues, it hasn't really changed for me.

Might/Sorcery is broken strong. When I originally played this game years ago that was how I built my champion. Hardest difficulty and that build = fire.
Sorcery is amazing in this game. I'm generally a warrior/assassin in these types of games but this is an exception, very cool abilities.

@@diallo1347 lol no, Dragon's Dogma has one of the best Magic gameplay and a better combat gameplay than KoA over all. It depicts magic pretty good with the casting time, the weight and feel into it.
Fun Fact: Staff and Chakram's both benefit from +% Melee dmg. Making them ideal secondary weapons for Might Destiny's.

Out of all games in existence this game has the most sexy greatsword animations makeing me want to do a might finesse build.
It feels like god of war when you go full tank
I think, for might+sorcery, a pretty nice syngery slipped through a bit. elemental rage + great sword. elemental rage as a "black hole" effect, in that it sucks enemies together to 1 sport. basically perfectly lining them up for then whirl right through them for massive damage.
faeblades' spinning charge attack also would work well with this, it also gives you a gapcloser so you use that combo to transfer from ranged to melee
This game deserves more recognition
Most important skill for me is the fire from the sorcery tree.
I will never need a fire weapon to burn down webs ever again xD.

You’re wrong about blademaster. It has the potential to do the most damage in the game.
You max concussive force to do extra damage to stunned enemies and then use smoke bomb which stuns enemies and puts you in stealth. The added stealth damage and stun damage allows you to pretty much one shot anything in stealth with faeblades. Adrenaline surge and relentless assault allow you to hack away at the smaller enemies without concern for dying.
Warcry knocks enemies down so it’s easy to get the gold bonus on downed enemies.

Daggers will give more dmg when stealth on humanoid enemies.
Don't worry if he's wrong he will actually admit it, he has shown to be open to constructive criticism, i find it a positive trait.

My first play through was overpowered hybrid mostly using greatswords and Hammers. This game let's you excel at however you want to play
Made a Might/Finesse crit build with a greatsword and dagger. The greatsword easily shells out 8-10k crits and I've seen the dagger go up to 4k so far. Something like a 50% crit rate with an extra nearly 60% crit damage on top of it, not including buffs. I'm still missing a solid 10-20% damage from gear, so it has some good potential.

IMO one of the most monstrous combinations is Might and Finesse. I remember shredding everything with twohander and some armor that adds critical chance.
Still, last bonus in this skill tree Might've been better.

What's new ? I believe there's a lot of tips and trick video out there, you have to depend on the RNG tho to get good material
Might build combined with sorcery allows for amazing survivability due to the healing spell you can get that works great in combat.

Guardian is legit just a shitty version of jack of all trades tbh. If you want a tanky might build just go full might and do way more damage.

I would absolutely love if Elden Ring 2 came with the ability to craft your own weapons with whatever traits you wanted on it like this game. That's the coolest aspect of this game.
Still in my first playthrough, about 50 hours in and just starting (lol) to get stuff together to craft a busted build.
One thing I LOVE about the Might & Magic path is the damage taken to mana passive -75% at the final tier which is pretty nutty, on top of the bonus armor and free 25% all resist.
I always keep the barrier spell on as well since at rank 5 I get an additional 12% flat damage reduction (don't have any +sorc skill mods unfortunately to boost it more) and I'm looking to use the epic gem in my armor for another 10% I believe it is.
Who the hell needs last stand when you basically take no damage and can ignore interrupts (plus Master Potions are broken AF) it's so dumb lol.
So glad they re-did Amalur, bought it asap
Nice to see something positive about this great game. Was one of my favorites in 2012. I jumped at a chance to have this in my GOG library. I haven't had a late-night gaming session in years, Was up until 3 am this morning. This is a great remaster getting trashed over graphics not brought up to 2020 standards even though its a 10-year-old game. I swear some gamers are just stupid.
How is it a great remaster? What's so great about it compared to the old one?
I guess that you could argue that it’s the same game from ten years ago but that’s kind of the same for all remastered games i agree with the point that graphics could definitely have been better but if you jumped into this game expecting new and expansive content to be added then you came for disappointment. I’m not a fan of the fact that we got barebones graphics for this game but I am happy that it got remastered it was an amazing game to play on my ps3 and I’m happy to be able to play it on my ps4.

I like going heavy into finess and might some into magic foe the mana reduction and building into crit chance and magic crit chance so i can apply and shread effectively with fire damage bleed and poison.
I went sorcerer back on the ps3. It got to the point where i just call down a meteor, BOOM!!!!

I may need to check this game out, looks kind of badass. Hey, do you (or anyone reading this) happen to know any other good co-op turn based games? Playing Divinity 2 and Wasteland 3 right now but any suggestions would be fantastic.
Desperados 3. Doesn't have a co-op option, but still one of the best turn based games I've played in years. The difficulty is up there, with some of the missions, not sure if you like a good challenge or not. Personally I found it to my liking. Most missions took me 2-5 hrs to complete.

Might/Fin is better than Might/sorc, at least in my opinion, because Finesse gear has the best critical hit bonuses. You could build for synergy and get some nice stuns, but you could also crit one-shot trolls. And crits just get more and more useful the higher the difficulty.
I think that equipment really is the defining feature for builds in this game. Most of the stats that define a playstyle are weighted more heavily in the gear.
Especially when you've collected a healthy hoard of components
I was thinking the same thing. Might/sorc is fun, but might/finesse gets pretty stupid damage wise later on. I've always liked using bows in RPGs, and the bow gets pretty damn good.
@@CouchGuy19 it also ramps up faster in the early game, where crit gear is almost exclusive to finesse. This makes it a more solid pick for higher difficulties.
Nah man, sorcery is way stronger than Finesse. If I had to rank them it would be:
1st) Sorcery
2nd) Might
3rd) Finesse
@@chrisg8989 Not trying to sound like a dick, but Sorcery being stronger than might or finesse is kinda irrelevant here. This is a Might video and the difference between might/sorcery and might/finesse was being discussed. That would be like popping into a comment debating whether peanuts or cashews are better, and then saying "nah, almonds are the best". Most people already know pure Sorcery has the highest damage as well. That is, unless you were saying might/sorcery is the strongest, but I assumed you meant pure because you included all 3 in your tier list.
So if I want to use a great sword as my main weapon what do people recommend as my secondary? I kinda just want to be a heavy tank and do the greatsword and the heavy mallets but at the same time I don’t know how effective having two heavy weapons would be. I feel like you should have a ranged or like fast weapon as well but I just really enjoy heavy weapons.
I would say great sword and chakrams, chakrams are fast enough and have enough range. But I'm playing a mix of everything so that might change based on your build.
No matter which race, going pure might may not be a good idea, a hybrid build would be better, either might/sorcery or might/finesse.
I did a playthrough with a pure Might build a few months ago and had a lot of fun.
What points should I invest in might/sorcery build?
It always bothered me that the top rank for might/sorcery was called "Champion". It's just so generic. They should have swapped the name with Battlemage. That really embodies the archetype.
I’m loving this game, I was saying on a comment somewhere else I don’t really remember it, which is weird but it’s deff awesome playing it now..i think if they kept it an mmo it would of been one of the best mmos ever, Imean the fact it’s single player makes it better but it would be awesome to see players running around, I went with the might/sorcery build though so this deff helps 💯
Jacob J479 I have an Xbox one x ps4 pro and a switch but I bought it on the Xbox and there’s deff issues, honestly super disappointing ones like when I booted up the game the sound crackled so bad I didn’t know what was going on, missing textures, flat out shit don’t work somtimes, nothing unplayable or that hasn’t gone away so far but Idk, I can’t really justify the shit it’s deff terrible, fun game though I’m having a good time
My first playthrough was pure sorcery, I'm thinking of going pure might or might/finesse since I went pure socery in the original game
"The reasons to use a finesse/melee is bow or might skills" ... Blademaster is legitimately one of the highest damage builds and is by FAR the best stealth assassination build. It is the highest dagger damage possible.
There are very good optimization guides written for Amalur that break down why Might/Sorcery is really not very good and things like Might/Finesse and Jack of all trades are some of the best destinies in the game.

Try Slayer Build
More Finesse, Less Might
The reason to get Slayer is to get the Last Tier of Finesse tree, specifically "Execution"
That skill give a chance to proc additional damage to the bleeding target.
With a FaeBlade which is fast and multi-hitting weapon, its can kill any enemies with no time,
And its sync with Might Skill "Relentless Assault", which give you Super Armor.
Basically you just need to use "Relentless Assault" and go apeshit with your FaeBlade
To make this build works, You need a Faeblade with a Bleeding Damage thats all
For the Armor
I reccomend using Finnesse Armor instead to boost Crit Chance & Damage which can be boosted even more with Finesse skill "Blade Honing"
I wish there was a western mmo exactly like this. If wow or gw2 upgrades combat to this level I'd play it all day

I played the original and if you spec your gear right. You can have literally infinite health. I went with finesse and might the first time. Then all might when I played it again. This time I'm going with all sorcery just cause.

If God of War was an open world rpg. Eerily good for a game that flopped. If it had released a couple years earlier I feel this would be in the top 3 rpgs of the last 2 decades with skyrim and Witcher 3
the main advantage of Might/Sorc would be Relentless Assault. uninterrupted casting ftw! the problem is that you will probably hit like a wet noodle compared to other builds.
my personal choice would be Might/Fin for Blade Honing and Smoke Bomb on Fin, combined with Battle Frenzy and Concussive Force on Might. stack crit rate and crit damage on equips (pref light armor), and watch everything go down in seconds. Lunge and/or Harpoon for distant enemies.

I personally like the "adventurous duelist" archetype. The type that usually starts trouble at the tavern and gets away with it and is also skillful in combat(so basically Jack Sparrow style). Longsword and daggers, of course...sneaky sneaky stabby stabby is so satisfying.
I'm hoping that they'll add the Tuatha Armor Set, admit it guys it looks cool.

I think imo Ken Rolston did a decent job with this game, even though it flop because of Skyrim conquered the gaming industry at that time. I wish Ken would still making video games and overthrown Todd because Ken really care about game he made in the past with Bethesda Studio.. RIP
It flopped because the studio went bankrupt trying to finance this game and a mmo.
