Some good updates. There was a lot of talk about the media library being upgraded, and the prototype looked good. I guess this is being bumped to a later version.
For a new Website using 6.5, and wanting to take advantage of blocks, would you recommend continuing to use Twenty Twenty Four theme, or the native blocks?
I am a mixed media learner and while not struggling, I find the FSE needs a reference manual to accompany your video's. Does such a thing exist , in paper or online form, and if so where would one buy it in the U.K. please? If one doesn't, then the person who knows what they are doing and writes one will make a quid or two. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks a lot for the knowledge, Jamie! I did watch your video about Block Injector and I really would like to know if you can make a video about a free alternative, it would be great.
Great vid Jamie, eloquently delivered as always! Some really nice features and performance improvements coming through the dev cycle. It might even be time to stop calling it GutenTerd! 🤣
Thanks Richard, yup i really don't like to hear people using that term , for me it's really disrespectful to the hard work that people are putting into it. Like it or don't like it , that's 100% fine but personally i'd wish people would have more nuance in their conversations. But maybe because I have a plugin business I have a different perspective to those people that don't

What is the main objective of using TT4 instead of the Kadence block theme or any other? Asking as it has a steep learning curve. At 1:07 you mention adding a background image to the group block. Does this mean that I can create a “custom border image with a logo at the top” that can be used on every page of a website automatically as a sort of look and feel template?
Jaime my page template is invisible on page editing, but is totally there on preview. What should I do? I'm new to Gutenberg/block editor and am on the 2024 theme
I was curious about what would be new in WordPress v6.5, however, the video seems to focus only on Gutenburg, which is just the outer layer of the actual system. And on top of that, what is presented as new in Gutenburg has been available on real page and site builders for years...
Great question - the cover block has some additional settings that the group doesn't have e.g background image aspect ratio, an easy way to position text, fixed background image support
@@jamiewp Sure! For example when you convert from 2019 theme to 2023 theme the menu will be allover the place so one has to reorganize the menu among other things. @@jamiewp Exactly. And nobody dares speak up against Matt. Gutenberg is a solution to a problem that did not exist.
