thank you so much for a great video. you got a fan..
Thanks for the feedback
what if "switchport voice vlan " command is not available on the switch?
should i configure a trunk for each port where a phone+pc are connected?
The command is useful, choose the right switch
@@gurutechnetworks what do you mean? If I try giving "switchport" than the question mark to see the available options, there is nothing for the voice. Therefore my question, is the trunk the way to go in this case or there is something else? Thanks
Thank you sir for sharing🙏
Thanks for your feedback
Great video, thanks for the help! 👍

Thank you fo the excellent video!! How the router knows or assign the Ip and assign the specific VLAN (voice and data) to the devices ? Even though the switch knows all mac-addess of this segment, the switch or the router can not know which mac address belongs to the PC (which need data vlan) or Phone (which need voice vlan)?
I found my answer below thank you !!
If the source MAC address matches the OUI (Organizationally Unique Identifier) configured on the switch, the tag of the voice VLAN is added to the packet, and the packet priority is increased. If the source MAC address doesn’t match the OUI, the VLAN tag of PVID is added to the packet and the packet won’t be sent with priority.
I am so happy you got answer
Cheers 🥂
😄
Is this possible with layer 3 switch without router because L3 switches are capable of routing.
It does not support voip
@@gurutechnetworks thanks for confirmation
@@gurutechnetworks is there any of your project using layer 3 switch for routing and switching purpose
can we use a multilayer switch instead of a router to do this job ?
No, only voice gateway routers
Thanks man nice video
Glad it helped
Excellent video.
I'm glad
plzz upload fxs and fxo and other features of ip telephone

Okay noted
Plz as soon as possible
Good job
Cheers 🥂
why do we have to apply the command 'switchport trunk allowed vlan 1 10 . .....' without it does not work ? what does that command do really ?
Learn how why vlans are allowed or denied on trunk
I tried the exact same steps. doesn't work. IP phone can only accept IP from vlan 1!!
Follow again keenly, take your time
Great bro
