Artillery pieces can be challenging, more so than armor/wheel vehicles IMO. Add to that the seemingly inherent issues with some Takom kits and you have yourself a thorough testing of patience and modeling skills. Very unique and interesting subject, good choice. Well done, look forward to next installment on this.
Hello mr. John.i enyoied your build very much. Thank you for sharing and keep the Faith. With best regards and sticky greetings from brandenburg/Germany. Your fellow modellmate.christian
Awesome looking project John! I am building Takom's Grant Tank model, very good detail & excellent fit. However, lots of cleanup everywhere! That seems to common for Takom kits. Rick Lawler mentioned that in his 1/16th scale FT-17 tank build. Looking forward to seeing completed!
Dear John, As usual, the attention and care in your video sets it apart. This looks like a most unusual build which I will take a look at in more detail later as I am away right now. Thanks for your work! Regards, Z
This is a reallu interesting project John! It is also a massive artillery piece. It has nice details, but as i can see every piece requires a lot of clean up. Good job done on the first episode, looking forward to see more. TET can only penetrate acrylics and not enamels, keep that in mind bud. Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work my friend!
Hi John, Very cool kit. I've heard of this gun, but didn't know Takom made a kit of it. This is going to be a big model. I've got the Leopold model by Trumpeter. I started it a few years ago but not finished it yet. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Great build tutorial mate. Shame about Takom kits, really nice details but always some bad casting and poor fitting issues with the parts which does put a bit of a dampener on their reputation. Thanks for sharing your work again, Aussie fan ❤😊
Thanks so much Michael. This is my first Takom kit. I forgot to mention, I think there might be some slide molding there, maybe that's why the plastic is so dense. Be well buddy.
Awesome looking kit John I built the 1/72 scale Dora gun it's massive it's in my channel have a look when you get a chance if you like those types of rail guns Big Bertha looks very well detailed 👍👍
