And if they so choose they could extract recognition from a dithering India by holding hostage those Indians who are unable to get out of the country in time, and by making a living hell for the unfortunate Hindus and Sikhs who remain in that benighted country.
After one year of the Taliban takeover; Pakistan and China will train the Talibani fighters and send them to India as some sort of a proxy war. Either ways, India has to step up its defence budget within this critical next one year.

After one year of the Taliban takeover; Pakistan and China will train the Talibani fighters and send them to India as some sort of a proxy war. The other option is that the Taliban, Pakistan and China will directly attack India in a two pronged attack strategy. Either ways, India has to step up its defence budget within this critical next one year.
Let’s not ignore the contribution of Pakistan in all this. They trained and provided sanctuary to Taliban from the attack of US Military. This was admitted by one of the US vets stationed in Afghanistan.
