I remember this day, this date, as I was home from my noon job, decided to sit outside with my "new" AM/FM Transistor Radio that my Grandma had given me. I listened. I was instantly hooked.
It was early '74, and I can't say whether I heard it on the radio or a TV program, but I fell into love with it after the 1st hearing, and never looked back.
She is the most beautiful and wonderful female singer I think.

The first time I heard her sing and saw her was in 1971 when I was 7 years old. I've been a fan ever since. I'm now 59 years old. I will never forget her. I know today's her birthday. She's 2 years younger than my mother who had her birthday on the 22nd of September.

So sweet and innocent. I was still just a kid around 11-12 she was twice my age when I fell in love with her. My dream angel crush. LOL And she sings as if she was given a golden voice equivalent to the seraph's of heaven. A gift from the Gods. I love how she does that direct transition, which is not too unusual, but the real unusual part is she takes it one oct 8 higher + one half step needed to change key, vocally. That's Awesome. That's my girl. Most all pop songs transition around 2/3rds of the way through the song. they sometimes build up for a climax then make the transition more often or at times go directly to it, like she did, but not vocally an octave + 1/2 step. Just a 1/2 step. Most all the old music, songs transition around 2/3rds of the way through the song. It's for effects, Climax.
She's the standard all female singers are to be measured to.
