internationall...
The cost of living in the Philippines, like anyplace else, is highly dependent on the lifestyle you choose but you can absolutely live comfortably here on a low budget. Even in some of the large towns and famed beaches, you can get by on a monthly budget of just over $800 if you live like a local, shop where they shop, and eat where they eat.
Obviously the more the budget, the more extravagant the lifestyle. A couple may live like kings and queens in the Philippines for $3,000 per month. You might spend that money on massages, housekeeping, travel, vacation, and so on.
Disclaimer guys that the cost of living in Big cities differ from the cost of living in our province and the cost of living shown in this video is just the average cost of living in the Philippines because every island in the Philippines has different cost of living.

In your opinion is the cost of living of the Philippines cheap?
Mura na 'yan. Studio rent ko sa SF $1,200 na, wala pa yong other expenses. Sarap buhay dyan sa atin.
I have only limited experience but I have noticed some things are cheaper yes but I think some electronics the prices are relative or even more expensive.
Criss may yota ba diha bsligya dool sa beach
yes it is cheap .just my rent in a small house is 1578 dollars in Denmark .with eletricity ,water and heating .
cheap if you are a low maintenance person but if you're like very picky and strict on your food like u dont want wet market ofc its expensive haha ako okay na ako sa isda at gulay everyday but yung husband ko sobrang picky sa food lol but my husband stayed there before in PH almost 2 years din since we're a couple til we got married though pa uwi2 sya and balik til i got my visa with our daughter 😁
That was such a sweet heartfelt message to Tim at the end and I myself and I'm sure many are grateful you shared that message with us all. Bless you and your family!
Chrissy you don't have to defend Tim. Those people who talk bad about both of you are only jealous at what you have. They don't have a happy life and don't want anybody else to be happy. My biggest observation of the both of you is,you have grown. Your shyness is almost gone. You have proven you are intelligent. You are a great mother and wife. There is no doubt you'll be a nurse one day. Tim has surprised me the most. His attitude has changed for the better. I believe the Philippines has changed him for the better. May God bless you both and your family. I will pray for Tim's back. I will ask God to lay his healing hands on Tim. Love you both.
Correct💚
I hate it when Tim calls you dingus or doofus, I feel he talks down to you sometimes. That being said, I think you are good together 🙂
Great video, Chrissy. Thank you. I always thought about $2000 - 2500 would be great to have if moving to Phil. Of course, as you say, it depends on your lifestyle and where you live. Lovely message to Tim at the end! Appreciate you both.
Great information 👍🏻 and I wish you and Tim and your family all the best! I hope I can be with my wife soon. She is still in the Philippines and we have been apart for over 2 years. Have a great day to you. Also, I think it is great that you always tell the viewers to be responsible and pray.
I hope your love with Tim is ever lasting Chrissy, stay strong, disregard others negatives.
Take care, stay safe, family # 1
Great video, i love how cheap everything is!!! I'm 27 and investing all my money so one day i can be like Tim and move to the Philippines. Have about 3 million pesos saved up and want atleast 25 million before i leave. Cheers from the US
3 million what are you waiting for?
They just showed you how to do it.
Find a bad ass filipina and put her on RUclips. Your American you can pick and choose who you want.
I met an amazing one in Bon Focio or whatever. And shes coming to America and starting RUclips channel.
A filipina learning to live in America.
Channels going to be called Cinderella.
My channel.will be called Beauty and the Beast. Ive studied Tim for 2 yrs.
And now my girls studying Chrissy.
We e learned alot. So a filipina in America will be fun to watch.
I know one thing
If I was 27. I would be doing everything I could to get Hanna. My ass would be in Leyte right now if I was 27.
To be honest my filipina is beyond beautiful. Sexy. More then I could ever dream of. And definitely way more then I deserve. That's what you get if your looking for a filipina. More then you ever dreamed of. But, I would still take Hanna if I could. I would take sweet over beauty. And Hanna is beautiful as well. Hanna was the only reason I started watching Tim's channel.
Then Tim started to grow on me.
And now Chrissy is.
But if it wasnt for Hanna
I'd still be watching Dale Philips
Chrissy.....the last couple minutes of this video is the best birthday and holiday season gift anyone can give another human being.
Agreed
Fantastic video Chrissy. You and Tim make a very wonderful couple together. Trolls and haters don’t matter. They’re just pitiful little critters trying to get some attention. You and Tim continue to do whatever you two decide, it’s your lives, your channel, and your choices. We’re just living vicariously through you and along for the ride. Be safe. Be healthy. Be happy. Have fun! Sempre Fi Timoy!
1200 is not that expensive because you 5 people in your home happy anniversary and happy birthday Tim Boy
Have a great day Timoy congrats you two happy anniversary and never mind the haters💝💜

What is Hannah’s source of income (job)? Does Tim support her as well?
Why asking about Hannah? Anything?
She is still in college.
Ohhhh, what a nice message to your husband Chrissy, keep the love burning 🔥 ❤ 😘.
Beautiful ending, happy for you and your family!
So honest and cute in your ways. I like how you keep going. Go girl. Subscribed.
Very good video Chrissy. Thankyou again. Keep up the good job. You will continue to be Bless!
Happy Anniversary and to many more and Happy Birthday, Tim.
Nice video. Glad you give Lucy a bonus. She always seems to be working hard.
Maybe the neighbour next door is using your electricity too?
Thankyou for the information. Happy 2nd Anniversary!
Happy anniversary and happy birthday to Tim! Hope you have many more years of happiness.
The budget was interesting; it's funny but in the U.S. a maid is usually only hired by rich people. My Filipina wife, before she moved to the states, had a maid too.
Proud of you Chrissy keep up the good work you're doing just fine
Seriously??? How many are living in that household?
And you can’t clean your own house and save $160 a month for a maid?
Get solar cells, a water purifier, and grow some sweet potatoes. Get some chickens and raise your own. Plenty of eggs and meat. On our farm we raised a hundred chickens a year, butchered and froze them for all year eating. Sell the extra eggs to friends and neighbors. You can pick greens anywhere you go to feed the chickens. That, and dry dog food works wonders! Stop with the excuses, please!!!
Well we are all different. Maybe they like spending their money
Your hair is adorable today my friend. Also happy birthday to Tim oy and happy anniversary to you family
Happy Anniversary to both of you and Happy Birthday Tim. Great Video , as was said before don't worry about the trolls they are just jealous of what you both have together. God Bless you both.
Very nice words for Tim. I hope all the best for your family.
Watching many blogs I'm convinced, Philippine people may be the best on earth. Great attitudes, loyal, loving and generally grateful for the happiness in their lives.
You did well on the breakdown of expenses. Thanks
Very interesting and clearly explained Chrissy. A very Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary to you both & hope Tim had a wonderful Birthday! 👍👍😊
1200 USD a month this is too much that's because 5 People living in the house why should Tim pay all of this?!
It’s his family and Chrissy is training to be a nurse. It’s called responsibility and HE chooses to do this…why shouldn’t he? 🙄
Happy birthday to you Tim great video Chrissy and a happy anniversary
Beautiful presentation Chrissy, you will make a wonderful nurse. You are so compassionate and intelligent.
Loved the video. Please tell your husband Happy Birthday and I hope it was a great one.
Your Furbabies eat good which i like to see.
Don't mind the negativities. Those are losers who are jealous of what you have. Just throw them away and focus on that bright future ahead.
My wife is from Trinidad bohol and she's a province woman and she's very humble and can cook great chicken adobo. Your videos have awesome information.
Happy Anniversary you and may God bless you both abundantly..P.S Tell Tim a happy birthday from me.
I love my filipina and my philam daughter also.
Belated happy anniversary to the both of you and belated happy birthday to Tim. You may have more years to celebrate in marriage and good health to your family. God bless and be healthy and be safe❤️🙏
Chrissy!! 😊 Your English is improving weekly! 💪🏻 I think you got a good teacher ha? 🤭🥰 You guys are mentors to me being a new RUclipsr. Be safe guys and do what you do.. 😊
She said the price of one item was “50 Bucks!” I smiled. 😃
Teacher Tim
Tell your husband that his all pensions income will increase 5.9 Percent and will start next month of January 2022. Therefore, all of his pension will increase more or less 300.00 a month. This is for sure. GOOD LUCK!
Chrissy you need to use CFL compact fluorescent light. Don't use light bulb if you want to save electricity
That was so beautiful, Chrissy.
What about installing solar panels for your electricity.
very nice Chrissy! way to roast Tim at the end there...LOL yeah, Tim is a good guy and Husband for you!
Chrissy I have followed both you and your husband's videos. I think you are a beautiful couple and you give me hope. Maybe some day i will find my Filipina.. You said $3000 and we could live rich.. My monthly income is even more than that. Hard to find that honest, loyal filipina though.
You will be fine here wiht that!
great video i have 2 friends there 1 in Cebu 1 in Davao both rent condos have girlfriends and live a very active lifestyle their total monthly living expenses are the same as yours
Very informative, Thanks Chrissy K
This amount 800 dollar, for me its already luxe life in the Philippines...
I enjoyed your vlog very much. It's good to have an idea of what to expect monetary wise!
Keep up the Great Work!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIM!!!🎂🍻🥳
Yes! Thank you!
Great vid! Especially the last part! Sweet! What a warm sweet women you are! Yeah, your husband is a fortunate guy! 🤙
We love you & your family as well,Happy holiday and good New Year.
How is the house and land you bought? I have not seen any new videos on that, Did I miss them? Great video as usual. God bless
You go girl...wishing u success
Chrissy is just 21 but she is very matured in terms of life and family
I would have never guessed only 21. She's a special lady. Tim is a blessed man!
Chrissy $40 a week for Lucy . Oh my that lady did everything for you
Tim, the baby , all your friends and family , and your dogs . That's awful !!! Slave labor for a woman that did everything for your family . I pray you treat the next person more . It's something westerners wonder why they can't keep good help . Pay what they're worth not what you can because it's the Philippines. Listen to your heart ❤ 💙 💜
I saw a video some guy posted about Tim, it was really mean, I was shocked how anyone could say such mean things. I think there are people that see someone that is successful and then try to gain something off them for themselves because they have no content of their own. You guys make a great couple.
Happy Birthday Tim! Happy Anniversary Chissy & Tim!
Don't pay any attention to people who hate and comment negatively on your relationship. These are miserable people who hate their own lives and gain some weird satisfaction by tearing other people down. You and Tim have something great and good for both of you.
Amen!
Happy Anniversary to you both and Happy Birthday to your husband. I wish you all the happiness in the world. My wife and I have been married for 43 years and I hope your marriage is as happy as ours has been. Love your attitude and outlook on life. Keep smiling and love life with your family. You are truly blessed.
Great video. Happy Birthday to Tim. Y'all stay safe. God bless you all 🙏.
Thanks so much
Chrissy, you have your stuff together. Tim is lucky. I have been married to a Filipina for almost three years. My quality of life has improved so much. Ignore the haters and be happy.
Be careful of the cars going by the highway, they are going really fast. Boy I really like the last part of your vlog it made smile and feel good for you guys God bless.
What about car and motorcycle insurance, Is that expensive? Does Lucy live in the upstairs room? The end of your vlog was nice, wish you both the best.
Car and motorcycle insurance in the Philippines is optional. Lucy lived nearby so she goes home every night.
@@Im_ChrissyK Oh I didn’t realize, thank you for explaining 👍.
Awesome video and yes Congrats on the 2nd year and Happy Birthday Tim. I watch all you're videos and Tim's Videos I always hit the thumbs up most times I don't leave a comment because others have already said what I was going to say lol .
Hey Chrissy, if your mother and father say it is ok. I would like to compare their monthly expenses
Sure! I will try to ask my parents about that.
You don’t need to justify anybody’s actions it’s your life- only the unhappy jealous people of the world say negative things and really who cares what they are saying or thinking👍 -new sub.
Who is telling the truth?????????? Your husband told us more than 1,800.00 a month to live in the Philippines. But now you told us just only more or less 1,200.00 a month. WHO???????????????????????????
If Tim did one thing in his life that was correct. That was making you his wife and partner in life. God Bless You both and may you have decades of love together. Have a Magical Day! (ps: really good job on this video.)
Well said
Chrissy great video. Make time for Tim and family. He truly loves you so much. There will be lots of time for work. Thanks again for a great blog.
Make sure you need to immigrate and live in the U.S.A. for at least 3 years and apply U.S. Citizen in the order for you to receive your husband's benefits and that is SSA (Social Security Administration Survival Pension from your husband). Just in case pass away first. You will not receive any SSA benefits if you are not an AMERICAN CITIZEN. ALL YOU CAN RECEIVE ONLY IS A VETERAN SPOUSE SURVIVAL PENSION FROM VA IF YOUR HUSBAND TIMMY DECLARED YOU AS A WIFE IN THE U.S VETERAN OFFICE AT PASAY CITY. And that is only a small amount monthly pension... YOU CALL VERIFY BY EMAIL OR CALL THE SSA OFFICE IN THE U.S. EMBASSY.
you are correct your life style and location determines the cost. we (wife and I) live in the province. our cost living is $1500.00 monthly. our home and SUV are paid for. We have a hectare of land and have 5 employees to take care of it. so the biggest bill will have is their salary.
Happy anniversary and birthday to you guys
What a sweet message at the end Chrissy 🙏🏼
Your blogs get better and better. You are a talented lady, keep exploring life and I am sure there are some great adventures waiting for you and your family.
Thank you so much!
Chrissy i was shocked how expensive the electric and water at your place.Ours in Midanao 6 person s in our family always using the electric fridge/fan /computer/laptop /heater no aircondition for max 2k a month.and the water 200 pesos a month.maybe there's something wrong with the water bill.
As a single mom i think my monthly exp for usually 150$
Outstanding video Chrissy. Very informative. Your English is improving each and every week. How's school going? I have been a RN here in Florida for almost 15 yrs. School is difficult, but the rewards of that RN license will pay HUGE dividends in your future. You and Tim's love and devotion to each other is encouraging, especially since my fiance in Davao is 20 yrs my junior. I hope to see her this coming year just as soon as the travel restrictions are lifted. Thanks again for the videos, I am a big fan of Tim and you. Happy Anniversary and Happy Bday Tim. Gods Grace & Peace to you both.
Happy birthday 🎂 🥳 Tim and Happy anniversary to you guys.
Hello Chrissy your doing a great job and bless your heart🌹Your a beautiful charming and courageous young lady. In 3 years I will be 62 and wanting to retire in the Philippines. My social security will be $2100.00 monthly and I will have around $450,000.00 in my 401k. Can I comfortably retire with the money I will have at 62? If so I'm not looking for a big city so any recommendation? And of course I would want to find my furure wife their also. Thanks so much and keep up the hard work and great job🌹
Hey Chrissy, you left off eating out. I'm betting you spend about $200 a month eating out... especially Shakey's..😁. Another thing is that I know of nowhere in America you could rent a house like yours on the beach for $950. It would probably be at least double that. In a city in America, a house like yours would probably be 3-5 thousand a month. Enjoyed the video alot. Have a great day.
A great presentation Chrissy, I'm moving over to Phils from Australia, watching you video I saw that you live in southern Leyte, so does my beloved Pinay lady Danna Grace (DG) , she lives in Sogod. I'll be in Phils on 3 November to be with my DG; and chance of meeting up with you and Tim to get some advice ? BTW the last part of Tim and you enjoying the fun was inspiring.
Electrical appliances (electric water heater, fry pan/cooker, fridge, water chiller) all use a LOT of electricity. use GAS for cooking whenever possible, convert to gas or wood water heater use chest freezer for chilling water and foods frozen, limit fridge use..... ;-)
Wow that cheap by the lake. Where at location in phillipines,
In here california very expensive by orange county. I wanna move there someday !thanks to @tim K😀😉🎅🤶👌👍🙌 keep it up be.safe guys and take care god bless all fam😊
My electrical bill is $300 us a month. Family of four in Florida where it is hot & humid and air conditioning is needed. I have a water well so I do not have a water bill just the electricity to run the pump.
Rent/Internet/TV/Gas/Health/Dental/Food looks to be much cheaper than here in the US.
I gathered from watching Tim's and your channel you do not use air conditioning much. I see doors and windows open. I know you are right on the water how is the humidity there?
Chrissy your doing great with this channel! Keep it up!
good presentation
Good video...gives good insight to what things cost approximately in the Philippines. Groceries are pretty cheap but our electricity is less in Florida.
Internet about the same here. Water is more in US..(need to water our lawn). Gas is likely cheaper in US. We live well below our means and $3,800 a month is what we normally live on that includes all expenses and that is with a paid off house.
Hello Chrissy- ,
You forget something importent ,health insurance from Chrissy and Tim And the baby.
Assurance for the Toyota and Honda pcx.
No cooking gas, no auto gas, no scooter gas, no cellphone loads, no birthdays, no fiestas, no auto registration, no scooter registration, no insurance, no annual report costs, no vacation costs, no clothing/toys/haircut costs, no house furnishing costs?
200 for electricity? Our provider would thing we are growing weed or something. xD There is a small shop near us with 6-8 fridges that pays about that much per month. xD
2023 now & I wonder if an old man alone can live OK on $1500 with the prices more expensive - with western standards in a small studio ? Hoping to move there somewhere cheaper than the US is now. Prices here are ridiculous !
Thanks Chrissy to explain your blling and costs but lot of lack in all costs long term by monthly costs overview, I be living here in Ormoc City with my wife and baby and looks spent double up for grocery(22k), specially baby equipment and supply also quality food to keep healthy and fit, what about the dogs all package costs? then in the calculation only dentist as a 6-monthly check up? I remember Tim vlogs about dentist issues, and most inportant missing all doctors costs and vaccinations and check up for the baby/child and medical health insureance or standby budget in emergency case for hospital you need a budget min. 300k per head, further you want to enjoy so traveling budget what you do from time to time right ? then equipment and maintenance cost for the car and moterbike and fuel where is that Chrissy I remember there where bills to pay to repair the car and you need calculate replacement budget both after years how much iis that? and last but not least you support family(as explained parents house) here that an unwritten rule, i think you can easy double the budget what is specified here to have a common and secured life as you guys shall be more realistic for a foreigner to keep that in mind and be aware have a medical hospital back up plan of at leat 1M pesos
There’s 5 people living in your house … of course you will think that it’s expensive … yes, cost of living is still affordable/cheaper in the Philippines comparing here in the USA …specially now that Biden is the Pres. everything went up
House rent of $450 is crazy cheap. One year of your rent equals one month house payment for me in California. Electric and water is driven by five occupants and outdoor climate. Are you using A/C and/or heat?
I think I would look at getting 5 gallon jugs of water and just using a hand pump for some of that water.
And maybe doing something with solar power, even if it's just to power lights at night. I'm still in the US and I will use efficient LED lights that really saves money.
Chrissy, why the windows have security grates? Are things dangerous? With your big dogs and tough soldier..you would think people would be leery? I worry about being trapped inside in a fire 🔥…why the gates and window grates? It looks so beautiful and everyone so friendly?
Just very bad money management from you and Tim . But I’m sure the money coming in very good 😊😊😊.people just gonna have to go and make their own way and stop taking utubers word on how wasteful they are .
