I just came across this channel and I'm glad I did. There's been so much controversy around the Deegan camp, specifically Haiden, his supposed equipment advantage, and accusations of cheating, which has overshadowed his real dedication to his craft and fierce competitive nature. It was good to see from an outside perspective (not Deegan Enterprises) Haidens true ability, not just because of the machine he's riding, but because of the way he is able use that machine to its full potential. Haiden Deegan may have advantages many other riders do not, but I think that he has, in a sense, respected those advantages by committing to being the best that he can be, giving 100% of himself everytime he hits the track! I'm not a Deegan fan boy, It just struck me as interesting seeing him ride through the lens of a different camera.

Man that track looks like super fun. Love the massive step up and step downs. They look massive from my desk anyways. I'm a 51 year old rider so I would need to ride it new when it's just been reworked and prepped for the weekend. lol
Race the AM day next year, lots of riders and classes for all ages
It was brutal! Lots of fun jumps but so rough
Love the sound of that 250 two stroke! I wish they would run 250&125 two strokes for Supercross and 250&450 four strokes for outdoors! That would make racing that much better! I miss going to Supercross and the smell of premix as soon as you walked in the stadium! Those guys are pro’s they can adapt to each bike! I loved the days of just two strokes! I loved my YZ 250 and said I’d never go to a four stroke. Then I bought my first 450 and fell in love with it! Fuel injection and that power! But it’s still fun to take the 250 out and spin some laps! So glad I had both to ride. Had to stop riding tho. Bad knees, bad back and a severe hand injury at work made me retire from riding. As they say…. With age comes a cage! Looking to get a side by side to fill my needs for dirt!

Not hardly, deegan has only been on a 250 for 10 months. This time last year he was on a super mini.
250 2 strokes were in the 450 class he should be way ahead of him.
@@USMC-1911 deegan wasn't riding a 450. He rides his 250 4 stroke against 450 guys so he also is under powered and still smoked everyone. All in 10 months dude. That's impressive

That’s not the way that works and is not how it should be. Period 😂
A 2-stroke engine requires only one complete crankshaft revolution to complete the four stages of combustion. A 4-stroke engine requires two crankshaft revolutions. This advantage explains why a 250-cc 2-stroke engine makes more power than a 4-stroke of the same size.
@@Steezy_Mx it’s ABSOLUTELY how it should be. Back when moto first started most guys ran four strokes, but when lighter more powerful two strokes were introduced that were an advantage in performance over four strokes, people chose them. The two stroke engine is a superior solution for motorcycle racing. Only through rule making and the obvious handicap in displacement have four strokes become the engine of choice. It was forced upon racers, NOT a natural progression of advancement within the sport. Had the displacement not been used as a handicap against two strokes, they would have NEVER been adopted to the extent they have. Two strokes would have continued to have been developed. They are less expensive to build and maintain and are less complicated. Less moving parts, less rotating mass. They simply make better sense for a racing motorcycle when weight is such a key issue. Unfortunately, our sport was the victim of politics. And now the bikes are more expensive and more complicated to maintain… and heavier.
Now that four strokes have had their time for development, the displacement handicap should be removed. Let the riders choose. A rider in the 250 class should be able to choose what he wants to run. It would be so much cheaper for a privateer to build and maintain a competitive two stroke to compete against the factories.

hear me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haiden has only been on a 250 bike for 10 months while dax has been riding 250 for 3 years yet haiden looks way smoother, faster and just overall the better rider, thats what you call generational talent .. they both have talent, both have money, both have fast bikes, dax even has a track at home while haiden doesnt (well he has now, just last month they built one at their new compound)
Amateurs mean nothing. Cooper Webb sucked at Amateurs and has titles. Mike Alessi has the most amateur titles and did nothing in pros. AC has struggled too.
Those 250F guys better get some rear view mirrors, Danger boy is tenacious, in great shape 30+2 won't be a problem IMO, but his mind is young ..See how he copes in moto 2 under pressure ..

Great video Matt, you're a good rider mate. You've got a good style and endurance riding the 2 stroke. Now that you've become quite famous for riding the 250 against the 450's Reach out to Ryan Hughes or AJ Catanzaro for a bit of training and I reckon you could be even quicker. I'm amazed at how you drive all the way home for hundreds of miles after the events Well done mate you're an inspiration.

Not bad for the first time running in Pro Motorsports or the pro section beat last and then the boys just one year off of a mini bike I was expecting to worse than that my granted I know he ain't racing with Tomac or any of that but still them Pro guys or the Pro-Am guys or they're pretty fast they give some pros actually some of them do run in the Pro class that are running a Pro-Am in these kind of situations and stuff so so you didn't do too bad it's worth better than I thought anyway he would
Given the fact that Deegan is on a factory 4 suck the 2stroke won this race.
In my opinion it’s rider > bike! The bike helps but he’s on that bike for a reason!
