ND had dramatically more injuries than Georgia. Period. We had 7 starters out, and lost 2 more starters in the 1st half. We just didn’t let it affect us. Beck was terrible all year. And Stockton led the comeback in the SEC championship against what is supposed to be an elite defense in Texas. ND was dominating this matchup regardless.
People don’t pay attention to football - literally missing two captains, 4 starters and important depth on the line… ND is legitimately short handed and making zero excuses. Georgia being “short handed” just justifies their bad game day picks. Credit to PFF though. Go Irish ☘️

But that magical minute was all due to ND: their defense stripped the ball, their offense scored the ensuing TD, and then their receiver ran for another TD. Give them credit for a smothering defense and capitalizing on turnovers.
@ with the early season loss of Benjamin Morrison, it’s been so exciting as an Irish fan watching Moore become a ⭐️. I think the Irish have the best freshman class in the country. Anthony Knapp, Adon Schuler, and KVA in addition to Moore. People forget we are playing without KVA too, if we get him back for Penn State look out!
@@johnbryaniii2589good news! He played against UGA! I didn't notice him most of the game, but he was rushing the passer on the DL on the last play Hinish sack(DL was KVA, Hinish, Sneed, and Logan Thomas). Hopefully that means he can play more against PSU!
I'm hearing ND played the best defense Georgia has seen in 8 years, despite being short handed. Amazing job by a future hall of fame coach Marcus Freeman
The most overlooked, it’s talked about but not in the way this should be discussed….and that’s The Fighting Irish Defense. Let’s just be honest here. If Penn St game plan is to run the ball they will fail against the Irish front 7. The most points the Irish Defense has allowed all season was 35 by USC and 24 by Louisville. Then playoff game vs Indiana, 27-3 before Indiana finally scores a TD in the 4th Quarter, with 1:47 seconds left to make it 27-10. Then again, against Georgia, the score is 20-3. At 9:36 in the 3rd Quarter, Georgia finally gets the football across the goal line for a Touchdown. Basically, in 8 Quarters of football The Irish D has only allowed 2 TD’s in 8 total Quarters in football. Regardless if it’s The NFL or College Football, Defense Wins Championships. It’s an old sometimes over used troupe but it’s a fact. You put the #1 Offense up against the #1 Defense 90% of the time the #1 top Defense will win. There was absolutely no problem with the Offensive Line of The Bulldogs. It’s just as simple as the Georgia O-Line could not contain the front 7 of The Irish Defense. The #2 Ranked Georgia Bulldogs just ran into one of the most toughest fkn Defenses in the Nation. Lol….laugh, make a comment to help you feel better, whatever, I don’t care. The entire national TV Audience and those in attendance saw The Bulldogs struggle on offense because they moved ball well in the 1st quarter. But what does a great Defense do? They attack, swarm, rip, tear, and put on big hits that causes the football to hit the turf. We’ve all seen this play out hundreds of times. Great defenses cause turnovers and the offense turns those into points. ND defense is playing so damn tough I honestly don’t think Penn St is gonna win. The National Title Game will be The Ohio State Buckeyes vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish 100% guaranteed. Who would win that game 🤷🏻♂️ but ND will beat Penn State. The ND Offense will run the ball well, move the chains, get points by Safety, FG, TD’s KR PR Block a FG. Penn State will probably score one TD. Question is will they score a TD before the 3rd. It’s crazy, sounds crazy but that is exactly how fkn tough The Irish D is playing

My only issue is I think ND fans are taking too much from this game. I do like ND, but I'm all Dawgs and we know how much we've fallen off in talent at every position since our championships. However, ND did absolutely nothing on offense against our defense. Kirby was uncharacteristically bad in some coaching situations that cost us. We scored 10 points... only 10 points because EVERYONE saw what we've seen all season with receivers dropping wide open passes and not winning the turnover battle. Hats off to ND for being more disciplined, but they only scored 23 points after out playing us at the lines of scrimmage at special teams. They just do not have the talent to win it all. When we say short handed, we're talking about the talent it takes to win it all. Ohio State is easily winning it all.
I just want to know....How many snaps did Kirby Smart play in that game? The Empire Strikes Back! WE ARE THE IRISH...Don't mess with us! Execute order 66.
