I have resolved not to order from these small businesses. I ordered merchandise that I received, but does not fit, even at a 5X, and they have a 3 day limit on any items to be exchanged.
I respectfully disagree. It costs money to file a lawsuit and have a lawsuit served even if it's Small Claims. Once you get a judgment, it costs even more to actually collect on a judgment. In most cases you never collect, but you've spent all this money on court costs, sheriff's fees, etc.
Small claims is maybe $75. But you can file for expenses, like her airfare and punitive damages which sends a message not to scam people. It can be difficult, but worth it if you can get in front of a judge. She has more than enough evidence.
The fees for small claims court are nominal. However when people don't want a bad reputation they usually settle out of court and that is what happened when I sued a company.

If she doesn't show up in small claims court, you win by default. If she doesn't pay you after the judgement, you can garnish her bank account or put a lien against any property she owns. While you was there you should have demanded that she do your hair for free with the tape ins that you were supposed to get. A hair stylist stole $600 from me. When I didn’t receive my hair unit and wanted my money back after she told me numerous lies and excuses, she then wanted to fight ME for asking for MY MONEY! Something like this happened with my sister. I begged her to put a lien on their license and business name. Even though the website I had been taken down and her insta is suspended you can still go to her title office and file a lien against her business and her name. She will have to pay you that way.

You should have called the local TV news consumer lawyer to go and do a story on her. They will show up at her shop and show her on the news. If she sees herself on the news she may be embarrassed enough and compelled to pay your money and if not then the money she will loose from being called out on TV will be more than the $190 that she owes you. That will teach her to be more ethical.
You need to contact Georgia’s Attorney General office. They are obligated to investigate since she is running a business in their state. In Georgia, judgements are enforceable with garnishment. They will take her state refund, child support or whatever if she has a judgement. You can absolutely get your money back whether she chooses to do the right thing or not. You can also sue for trouble damages of 3 times the amount and all your legal fees. Do not let her get away with this.

I respectfully disagree. It costs money to file a lawsuit and have a lawsuit served even if it's Small Claims. Once you get a judgment, it costs even more to actually collect on a judgment. In most cases you never collect, but you've spent all this money on court costs, sheriff's fees, etc.
Small claims is maybe $75. But you can file for expenses, like her airfare and punitive damages which sends a message not to scam people. It can be difficult, but worth it if you can get in front of a judge. She has more than enough evidence.
The fees for small claims court are nominal. However when people don't want a bad reputation they usually settle out of court and that is what happened when I sued a company.

If she doesn't show up in small claims court, you win by default. If she doesn't pay you after the judgement, you can garnish her bank account or put a lien against any property she owns. A scam mobile mechanic in Atlanta took money from me one time, and I took him to small claims and won a $1,600 judgement plus interest against him. Homeboy didn’t pay me so I put a lien against his house. He can't sell that house without paying me first!!!

I have a suggestion. Don't ever order online or have something sent through the mail. While you was there you should have demanded that she do your hair for free with the tape ins that you were supposed to get. I don't see if she can get away with that if you have the receipt and everything that you paid for this hair and she never gave it to you, that's ripping you off and she will have no good luck at all because hopefully nobody will go to her salon again because you exposed her. You need to get together all the people that she ripped off and make a complaint against her and have all the people signed and verify it because she can't get away with that. A hair stylist stole $600 from me. When I didn’t receive my hair unit and wanted my money back after she told me numerous lies and excuses, she then wanted to fight ME for asking for MY MONEY! The salon owner fired her and I had to sue the salon to get my money back. I don’t blame you for trying to get your money back. We work hard for our money and I’m not rich enough to just give it away especially to a scammer.
This only happens with black women.. someone in a group black female stole $4,000 from a single mother trying to get a cpn. The female stole the 4,000 and the female is now almost homeless with her son. Black women are doing this to one another….it literally be your own people..

Something like this happened with my sister. I begged her to put a lien on their license and business name. Even though the website I had been taken down and her insta is suspended you can still go to her title office and file a lien against her business and her name. She will have to pay you that way.

If she sees herself on the news she may be embarrassed enough and compelled to pay your money and if not then the money she will loose from being called out on TV will be more than the $190 that she owes you. You need to contact Georgia’s Attorney General office. They are obligated to investigate since she is running a business in their state.
In Georgia, judgements are enforceable with garnishment. They will take her state refund, child support or whatever if she has a judgement. You can absolutely get your money back whether she chooses to do the right thing or not. You can also sue for trouble damages of 3 times the amount and all your legal fees.
Do not let her get away with this.

I don’t know how I stumbled upon this but the fact she just said no despite it being clear she is in the wrong… she absolutely is doing this consistently. She expects no one to sue her. She’s a thief. You should pursue it otherwise it will never end and she will steal from countless others. I bet she shit herself when you popped up in her salon though. The biggest takeaway is to NEVER pay a vendor via Zelle, Venmo or Apple Pay or Cash App because you have no chargeback recourse.. ONLY pay a vendor via your credit / debit card or a vendor PayPal payment. If you do decide to use small claims file with a court show because although they seem goofy, they WILL give you your money back & a lot of them shoot here in Atlanta.
