- It all began when the Islamist Boko Haram group kidnapped nearly 300 Chi-bok girls a decade ago. Since then, others have followed the same path, targeting schools, villages and travellers. This year alone Nigeria has recorded 68 mass abductions.

This reminds me of a CIA report I read, must have been back in the 80's, of the destabilization effects of rapid population growth. They could predict just by the statistics which countries would suffer this type of instability.

Only in southern eastern Nigeria is the government creating military outpost and every few kilometres police stations and highway military blockade. This is not armed at increasing security because lgboland is relatively peaceful, it is for the sole purpose of intimidating the lgbos, whereas the bulk of crime is committed in northern states.
