I been messing around with 4 strokes in scooters and small bikes but now I have a 2002 polaris trail blazer 250 sitting out there. First 2 stroke for me. I haven't started on anything and your video here was worth a lot of knowledge I need. I do know the electric start does work. Was told the crank seal needs replaced, it affects the running it seems. I need a lonnnggg project for fall and winter. So I got one. My labor is not an issue. I like to think hobbies cost money and if I get the parts cost I be happy!! But thanks again for your insights.
I got a MINT MINT 1996 trailboss 250, bought for 1500 with title, i run NON ETHANOL only ever the guy put in it, oil injection works perfect. Super clean, all type of records n all that. Its my pride n joy i grew up dirt poor and abused i bought it few months back im 35 LOL my kids love it even more cuz i be rippin it too, got a buyou 220 project now too
Ive had a couple and they really are fun and simple machines over all, this one just has been pretty neglected i believe. Sounds like you got a good one though! The bayous are good machines as well, good luck with it!
That jump box won’t put power out unless it senses a certain amount of voltage. Also these are notorious for stuck rings. Especially if it has been sitting with no plug in it. Pull the cylinder and very carefully work the rings loose. Reassemble and she should run
I’ve had a couple that ran really well and started good in the cold even. This one just needs a good bit of TLC if it were to be useable again. They’re not bad engines, they just have a lot of years on them at this point
You are definitely correct. It helps having the breather box, but this one is having some other issues as well and it should still idle without the breather box if it was running how it should. But the extra restriction of the breather really makes them run like they should

@@michaelpreston2392 all these jump boxes have an override feature so that you can still use them with a completely dead or missing battery.
Usually the oiler quits working and they burn raw gas and burn the rings up just dump it in the tank
I have the exact same four wheeler cold blooded and hard starting .

Ever heard that song bt Toby Keith, "A little less talk and a lot more action"???
well nothing ventured nothing gained sometimes better to walk away before you get in too deep.
What type of oil goes in front of the head light for the oil pump what Cain of oil🙏🏻
That one just like it just wants to run every once in just put a pulley on it what are you asking for the 4-wheeler
They don't like to run with out breather box on it
