That weird switch on the handle bar is a reverse override switch. It could be aftermarket from the looks of the wiring but oem is similar. Newer ones have the reverse override built into the main switch.
@VermontLife basically when you back up the cvt transmission runs as fast backwards as forward. When you put it in reverse the system automatically disengages 4x4 if equipped and engages a throttle limiter. Pressing the reverse override switch overrides that. I've read that it also functions as a MODE switch but not sure what that means. (Same person mobile account)
I have one of these and it's been sitting forever due to not knowing if the Injections working. I can't find a video on it anywhere either. Might be worth posting if you happen to do that at some point. Or Rick Ritter sells a block off kit
Thanks DJ, I've seen the block off kit. I'll slow down and film more when I get to the pump as I haven't seen good information either. My first thought is to prime it and pull the feeder tube off the engine block. When I crank the motor oil 'should' come through but... cranking a motor without oil would be bad so... I think I'll premix while I'm testing. We'll see but I'm already thinking through how to work through it.
Awesome! I'm sure there's ALOT of guys that would appreciate seeing that. It's a common topic on the pages and forums. I know I'll be looking forward to it. Maybe it'll even get me to finish mine
That’s awesome! Stock and oem are so rare. I’d love to see some pictures. Are you a part of the Facebook “Polaris TrailBlazer & TrailBoss 250” group. You might post some pics there for us all to enjoy.
@@VermontLife right place at the right time. My aunt’s father passed away and I was at the place buying a tractor. I saw it and they wanted it gone so I got it for $10 lol.
Hey, question. I have one of these and I had it running, the cable for the throttle that goes into the spring fell off when riding, we shut it off and pushed it back and put it back together and didn't wanna crank at all, any thing you know that could help my situation. Thank you
@@nathankettlwewll3859 Are you talking about the spring that sits down in the throttle body of the carb? If the cap would have unscrewed from the top of the carb that spring should still be attached to the throttle body. I don't think I'm understanding yet as not cranking wouldn't have anything to do with the throttle cable. (Not firing sure but not cranking is more likely on the electrical side.) Re-reading I think you are you referring to the actual throttle cable falling off? If so which end did it fall off of? The handlebar thumb throttle side or the carb side? Are you sure the throttle cable didn't snap?
Tanks are tough on these. Hard to find spares as well. Ritter Cycles online has lots of parts if you're ever in the need. If you shoot them an email I bet they would have something.

Many thanks, I’ve been trying to track down what it was or did. What does it do on this unit if the button is depressed?

THAT SWITCH IS FACTORY
:) I finally learned that is the reverse over ride. Thanks for the note.

I have that same machine. I redid it a few year ago. I can send you some reference pictures if you like.
Also, mine’s complete and stock.

Can you tell me more? I'm not quite following where this spring is on the throttle cable.
@@VermontLife the cable that opens the carb and closes it and it runs to the accelerator.
