I went with ex 04 06 over perfect finish, because someone in the comments suggested it, I believe in the cutmax video. I'm not sure I understand it yet and find myself reaching for the m205 still.
Stephen Carbonaro m205 is mutch more aggresive and needs 2nd step after, if you want to compare the 205 you sould do it with sonax cut max not this product.
Excellent video, Brian. Moving the finished work into the sun is the best way to show "real life" results.Thank you again for your videos. Keep them coming
Another awesome video ! I was afraid of the idea of using the machine to enhance my paint. After watching you for many videos and some advice from you I got all the stuff needed to do the job. Can’t say how happy it made me to pick up that polisher and actually get good results right out of the gate. A very sincere THANK YOU Brian, you gave me the courage and it sure paid off. Best wishes buddy always ! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Now thats what i like to see, GM vehicle getting a simple 1 step like that so i can get a good idea on how my denali is gonna come out...havnt had time lately to get mine done but in the next couple weeks i will be able to...keep the videos coming you have definately taught me a great deal...thank you for sharing your knowledge 👍🏻👍🏻
Apex Detail so far this video and the mini series you did with the 70/72 cutlass are my favorites...i myself have an 85 cutlass and the 1970 442 w-30 is one of my dream cars and i would l😍😍😍ve to be able to get my hands on a trailblazer SS with the 6.2L...born and raised GM 😉😉
You always seem to have the perfect arm speed motion ... I enjoy all Sonax polishes. I Have to try one of those uro fiber pads. Try Cut and Finish 05_05 next ... it's a good polish that nobody talks to much about.
Amazing video! I'm new to the channel, I'm a beginner. Seeing this data that you show, I decide to buy the "perfect finish" compared to the "ex 04/06". Although the "NP 03/06" compound in the video where you are polishing the Ferrari catches my attention. I have a dual-action orbital polisher, perhaps I am more inclined towards the perfect finish since in Argentina, the country where I live, the prices of these products are very high, since they are imported. Thank you very much for the advice and for being an enthusiast and sharing your detail secrets, you are the best. Your dear Argentine fan, Leonel.
I know this is a old video. I had a friend turn me on to Sonax products lately. He gave me a bottle of this and I was really impressed. I have been impressed with all the Sonax products I have used.
Awesome! I've been using the Cut Max and the Perfect Polish on your recommendation. Great stuff. It's my first attempt at paint correcting using a DA polisher. Just ordered the eurofiber pad to try out. I've used orange foam pads so far and have got enough courage to try the fiber.. Thanks
Brian I agree, and I have all three ( Cut max, Perfect Finish , and EX 04 062 my arsenal but when I use the Flex 3401 and right pad I have experienced similar and sometimes better results with the Perfect Finish, slightly deeper shine...Great video as usual sir!
Nick M Nick thanks for the product feedback I have been planning on getting some to try but your the first to mention it . I will take your endorsement !
I appreciate both products equally. I wonder if your humidity level makes them seem more alike than different. I have used both products in both extremes and am much more impressed in dry climates with each products diffrences (I am in the desert btw) On a side note, I know perfection wasn't the goal here but it makes me sad to see how badly people care for their vehicles. If the original owner had just done what you did here periodically over the last 15 years that truck/suv would be beautiful today. Great job Brian!
Sonax is great, but I still think that Wizards Mystic Cut is slightly better. I just did an abused 2012 Charger SRT8 on Mystic Cut and the results were phenomenal. Thank you Sir!!
Looks excellent. It'll be interesting to see your opinion on Bead Maker. TONS of hype right now going around with it. I haven't used it yet, but it seems like most people like it.
Thank you Brian, you answered most all of my questions. Even used the same machine I purchased. Although my car is white soft and no where near as bad as this one. Would I use the orange or Black LC hdo pad with less pressure and faster movement? Or should I just play with it until I figure it out. Basically just looking to get as much out of white as possible without degrading the clear to much. Again another great review. Thanks for helping this older out of the loop for 15+ yrs. DIY guy.
Had seen the pic you posted of it on Intagram. Doesn’t do it justice. Nailed this one step. What flood light was that you were using on the sides (not the husky leds). It shows a ton of defects over a large area, and I’d love one.
A couple of things to touch on in this one. First, I don't think I like those buff and shine polishing microfiber pads. I get better results with the uro fiber. I noticed the same haze on that door after the buff and shine pad is the same-ish result I get when I use it. Second, Reny Doyle was all over auto geek last week promoting his products and Matt from OG Garage used Beadmaker as a topper on his coated truck the other day. That's probably where all the buzz came from.
Another good video! Wow it makes a difference when u use the right pads! I use the 04 06 with rotary chemical guys pads..Looks good, but will try it with different pads for sure! Maybe do a comparison with perfect finish and 0406?
Hello Brian. Looking good my friend. Tell me sir, can you make a metallic car shine like you did here and what compound and polish along with what pads. Thxs. I'm a newbie
great video, i have a question , im thinking between 03-06 and 04-06 sonax. what do you recommend? the guy at the store said they have a slight to non differences. thank you in advance
Timely video for myself. I just ordered the product to do a one step on a couple of personal vehicles (2017 Tacoma and Rav 4) in preparation for ceramic coating. Both have been well kept with just some slight swirling and a couple of water spots. Do you think this would be a good choice, or is there something better I should be looking for? Using Griott DA (old style) with either the orange or red foam pads. Your opinion would be appreciated.
Hello sir ,let me ask you your opinion. As the technology makes.progress.in.manyfacturing polishes and compounds we can see than, in the.past we had 3 steps of .paint correction , compound, polish finish....and now the technonolgy already try to minimize this gap. We have heavy compund that finishes well suchnas d300, fg400, sonax cut max, and also finish polish with great cut abbilities such as sonax 04-06 ,or.perfect finish. Do.you think that in.next 10 years we will have maybe one product wtch cutting at maximun and also the same time.finishes.at.maximun????? Kind reegards
Hi, so what pad do you recommend for the 04-06? I used a Griots orange flat pad on my black jeep srt8, and I didn't get out nearly as many swirls as you did here, and my paint wasn't as bad as this trailblazer ss. I'm using a Pc 7424. What pad do you recommend that I can get 3 for under $40? Thanks!
Why does water not bead or sheet on a surface thats waxed but beads and sheets after you dry with towel is it possible the soap im using leaves a film thats covering the wax. i keep trying to ask the manufacturer but they keep blocking me on instagram when i ask questions and they wont answer any where else. I tried 3 waxes from 2 manufactures and all 3 act like theres no protection till i buff it with a towel
For those of us on some sort of a Budget, is it not worth trying this if already have PF? Even if using a DA, in my opinion the PF works as a 1 step or 2 step depending on what pad I use.
What other pads you said work better than the buff n shine microfiber? Thats the one I have, works pretty good, bought the orange cut one too but I melted it w the da so I should stick to the rotary that I'm used to.. The lake county mf pads better? But they don't have the hole in the middle.. And a few $ more than buff n shine
Looks great! Do you ever remove emblems to get them out of the way for bigger polishing jobs? My 4Runner Is covered in them and I'm planning on removing them and then sticking them back on with 3m double tape after. Curious your thoughts.
Does anyone...besides me prefer Perfect Finish over EX 04_06?
Really depends on the car and paint.
how about doing a comparison video 04 06 side by side perfect finish. and maybe cut max then both of them, btw you do great work
I went with ex 04 06 over perfect finish, because someone in the comments suggested it, I believe in the cutmax video. I'm not sure I understand it yet and find myself reaching for the m205 still.
I also love it , also i thinkn better pruce in europe. We can find for 32oz at aprox 32-35 euro
Stephen Carbonaro m205 is mutch more aggresive and needs 2nd step after, if you want to compare the 205 you sould do it with sonax cut max not this product.
Hands down the best channel for.....well......everything
By far, the very best !!
You guys are making me blush!! 😊
That looks better than when I do a 3 step correction! I am now depressed.
lol
Hey... never get down on yourself! It is far from perfect. Shine On!!😁
You are a master of your craft good sir!
The kind words are appreciated!
Ive said it once and i will continue to say it. Brian, you are THE MAN! Much love and respect. Thanks a million
Always appreciated Eric! 😁👍🏻
Man Brian I think you over delivered on this job. What amazing results for it being just a one step. Great job dude. 😃
I find myself doing that unintentionally when shooting a video. The customer made out like a bandit!
Excellent video, Brian. Moving the finished work into the sun is the best way to show "real life" results.Thank you again for your videos. Keep them coming
The sun does not lie!🌞😎
I love those Uro Fibre pads. They do a great job. Thank you Brian for turning me on to them.
Me too. I use them almost daily!
*_He did it again!_*
Uh oh... what did I do now?!😁👍🏻
I've been watching your channel am starting a mobile detail business got 4 cars this weekend thank u for all the tips great stuff👍👍✊
AWESOME!! Go get em! Shine on!
Turnaround like magic Amazing finish
The owner is quite happy 😁
Now thats what i like to see, GM vehicle getting a simple 1 step like that so i can get a good idea on how my denali is gonna come out...havnt had time lately to get mine done but in the next couple weeks i will be able to...keep the videos coming you have definately taught me a great deal...thank you for sharing your knowledge 👍🏻👍🏻
What color is the Denali?
Apex Detail its alpine white...i have even contemplated driving out to you to have you do the first initial correction 👍🏻👍🏻

I will be covering Cut and Finish soon.👍🏻
Yet another formative video with a lot of great advice .
Dave Newton 😁👍🏻
Some good tips for beginners in this video! Thanks for the video
I deed! Thanks BB!!!😃👍

Sweet... at some point it would be wise to add the Lake Country microfiber cut and polish pads.😁👍🏻
Yes me. I prefer it.
You now only have 11 days until my birthday my friend. Hint, hint!
🎂🍻
Brian I agree, and I have all three ( Cut max, Perfect Finish , and EX 04 062 my arsenal but when I use the Flex 3401 and right pad I have experienced similar and sometimes better results with the Perfect Finish, slightly deeper shine...Great video as usual sir!
Poman You guys are missing out if you haven’t tried Sonax Cut & Finish. Its hands down my favorite one step polish and Sonax product period.
Cut and finish is coming up soon!👍🏻
Nick M Nick thanks for the product feedback I have been planning on getting some to try but your the first to mention it . I will take your endorsement !
Love your advices every time...I wish i could give a million thumbs up...
great video Brian. thanks for all the info and your time.
My pleasure!

William Brown our average humidity here in the summer is 82% definitely a factor.
Awesome channel always look forward to your videos and Hickok 45 lol favorite channels
Travis Grider thanks for the kind words! I will try to continue to deliver!
Great one step on black paint ! I've got to get some of those Euro pads and put them to the test. Thanks for another well done video !
The Uro pads are great. On soft paint. Ease up on pressure so the finish does no cloud up.
Sonax is great, but I still think that Wizards Mystic Cut is slightly better. I just did an abused 2012 Charger SRT8 on Mystic Cut and the results were phenomenal. Thank you Sir!!
Mystic cut will be included in the final showdown in our compound series!👍🏻
Apex Detail yayyyy
Looks amazing brother!
Looks excellent. It'll be interesting to see your opinion on Bead Maker. TONS of hype right now going around with it. I haven't used it yet, but it seems like most people like it.
Tons of hype indeed!!! Video will be out 2morro
Excellent as always
Thank you Tom!

Try the orange pad first with light pressure...or a heavy polish pad. White or light blue in some systems.
Apex Detail Brian, you are a very informative, I am grateful for your time to help out! You Sir Rock!! Thank's again
Had seen the pic you posted of it on Intagram. Doesn’t do it justice. Nailed this one step. What flood light was that you were using on the sides (not the husky leds). It shows a ton of defects over a large area, and I’d love one.
This is what you are looking for my friend....www.lowes.com/pd/Utilitech-Pro-3000-Lumen-LED-Stand-Work-Light/50260965

Beautiful finish 👍👍👍
Thanks Charles!!
I prefer Perfect Finish...……………………… Thanks Brian...
I cant pinpoint it... but I do to👍🏻
Jesus... how do you get those results like that on everything you do!?!?
Great products and tools!
LOL. For a second, I thought u were asking me. Jesus
Simply SKILLS !!!!!!
another great video again buddy. great b4 and after...on both machines set on 5 or 6??b well my friend 🍻🍻
Richard Seem speed? 3-4
Renny Doyle beadmaker is an outstanding product , smells good , works as a drying aid etc but most importantly it’s cost effective .
It sure is the hot item lately!😁
Not sure how long it’s been out , but I found out about it a couple years ago . Liked it ever since .
Great video. One step is pretty good. Have you used a Flex 3401 DA?
Yes .. I love Flex polishers. I prefer the rotary to cut.
I used to use Rupes 21 mark ii & 15mark ii until I got the feel for the Flex 3401, after that I bought a PE 14 & PE8 then a second 3401.
Great video as usual ..
sonny johnson 😁👍🏻
First! Yess!
Man...you were on the ball!!!
Second! Grtz, a Belgian.
I reloaded and up it popped!
Thanks B. My OCD kicks in and I have a hard time leaving things behind 😟
Hello Brian. Looking good my friend. Tell me sir, can you make a metallic car shine like you did here and what compound and polish along with what pads. Thxs. I'm a newbie
Good video bud. Let me ask you. If you used cutmax what polish would you use between 04-06. Or cut and finish?
Great video as always. In you opinion what is the best combination of pad and polish for a one step polish?
Megs D300 and a Buff and Shine Uro fiber Pads.
Thank you!!!
great video, i have a question , im thinking between 03-06 and 04-06 sonax. what do you recommend? the guy at the store said they have a slight to non differences. thank you in advance
Late but the numbers represent cut/finish 3cut/6 finish (cuts a little less) & 4cut/6 finish (this cuts a little more)
Timely video for myself. I just ordered the product to do a one step on a couple of personal vehicles (2017 Tacoma and Rav 4) in preparation for ceramic coating. Yes....my guess is closer to 5 years.
I have this paired up with Makita PO6000c machine. What pad would you recommend, microfibre or foam?
i do as well.feels like perfect finish dominated....
I cant pin point it. Just lean towards PF
Thanks!
Hi Sir how would you compare this 04/06 to HD Speed being a AIO.... I think it its a tough one....
Hi Brian! Do you think we could use the Sonax perfect finish on the glass?
So are cut Max and perfect finish your favorite combo?
Brian, can this be applied by hand?
Why does water not bead or sheet on a surface thats waxed but beads and sheets after you dry with towel is it possible the soap im using leaves a film thats covering the wax. i keep trying to ask the manufacturer but they keep blocking me on instagram when i ask questions and they wont answer any where else. Its possible... what shampoo is it?
@@apexdetail85 mr pink from chemical guys.
why do you prefer the perfect finish over the 04_06?
Is this product good to use after using so nax max cut?
what are they typical speeds on the polisher when using this product?
For those of us on some sort of a Budget, is it not worth trying this if already have PF? Even if using a DA, in my opinion the PF works as a 1 step or 2 step depending on what pad I use.
Yes.. PF and Cut Max are really all you need.👍🏻
Sonax 03-06 vs 04-06 vs carpro fixer?
Do you change pad sizes often? From going to a 5 inch pad to 3 inch, or 2 inch, and even 1 inch pad.
Only when absolutely needed. I hate stopping when I get into the "zone"
Can you run ovr your head lights and tail lights with that
What other pads you said work better than the buff n shine microfiber? Thats the one I have, works pretty good, bought the orange cut one too but I melted it w the da so I should stick to the rotary that I'm used to..
The lake county mf pads better? But they don't have the hole in the middle.. And a few $ more than buff n shine
What speed do you use it on a da?
Brian can I use a 6” pad on a 5” backing plate? It is safe?
Genysmen runner probably not. You want to keep it within 1/2 inch. 5 1/2 is as big as u want on 5 in backing plate
tom martin ok thanks for the help
Exactly... no more than half inch.
Apex Detail thanks Brian for always replying us
Umm, hey wait a minute, that isn't a Range Rover. Lol
Hahahaha.... I am taking a Rover break.
Beadmaker requested because of obsessed garage and rag company
Ahhh... ok.. will look into it.
Looks great! Do you ever remove emblems to get them out of the way for bigger polishing jobs? My 4Runner Is covered in them and I'm planning on removing them and then sticking them back on with 3m double tape after. Curious your thoughts.
PS great job editing and filming. Very good vid for just one man working and filming at the same time
I will either take them off or use the nano polisher.
