absolute best part about this is that when your disguised as a teammate, the dead ringer will make a fake corpse of them instead of outing you as a spy. it totally throws people off as nobody goes looking like they do when an obvious spy dies super early
It’s great for being a support class, scouts won’t try to get past “team pyros”, and the enemy will be reluctant to attack a “guarded” sentry. Not to mention it’s great for keeping away enemy spies

Basically disguise as Sniper, wait for this Trollider to jump in for a Garden, pretend like I have tunnel vision and didn’t notice and then try for a trick stab. I tried it 3 times and missed every time unfortunately
I do this so much, when my teams sniper is getting owned I call him over and we chat, I get my dead ringer and disguise as him and act like him peaking and dodging, meanwhile he’s below and gets the kill. *mind games..*
Disguising as teammates is underrated, i sometimes use it to be a friendly from my team that someone who's targeting me wouldn't attack me and then backstab them for free revenge

I'm not a Spy main but I do Use Dead Ringer disguising as Teammate Sniper to troll enemy snipers. Thinking they shoot "sniper". Not only just Sniper. I also disguise as a Hoovy. To add more "intense", cl_yawspeed 700; +right (spinning script) is also used. Making enemy think that Bot is still existed.
I always disguise as a teammate heavy because it can completely catch the enemy off-guard lmao. Sometimes they just run away when I'm dusguised as a solder or demoknight
It’s insane what you can get away with by just standing around as a sniper, wiggling WASD like you’re repositioning the sightline. You might as well be cloaked you’re so damn invisible to the enemy team. I think it’s because people largely ignore their own Snipers because they play somewhat passively. They stick to an ideal spot and make occasional shots from a safe distance. Other classes are running around spraying bullets, pipes, and rockets everywhere, reloading, switching weapons, etc… There’s a lot more behavior that Spy can’t replicate while disguised.
Someone was doing that at my match a while back in 2fort. I knew it was a spy because the bazaar wasn’t counting headshots, but I still used them as target practice lol

This is one of my favorite things to do in teufort. For added salt, crouch down because it makes the Sniper disguise look like you're actually aiming.
Sniper is my go to disguise but not as a friendly sniper, people barely spy check you if you just pretend to hold a sightline.
