*Awesome impact **MyBest.Tools** Takes tires off in a second. Plenty of power for what I’ve used it for - rotating tires. Using it on 3rd setting for removal and 2nd setting for tightening lugs.*

The smell is the oil used in the electrical wiring which will burn off after time. You will smell that electrical smell on new toasters, toaster ovens etc.

I have the $40 one a few years old. Just replace the struts in a Caravan 23 yrs old. I have had the vehicle for ten years now, so them nuts and bolts are well anchored from the MN winter road salt. Took em off no probs.

the 40 dollar one I bought was a POS from day one. I always broke lug nuts loose by hand. Then it quit completely. So I'm shopping again. I got talked into buying the M12 Milwaukee, but they suck too.

I'm probably going to buy one of these because I dont like dragging air hose around for my pneumatic and the battery tools have issues with batteries and replacement batteries are expensive. But I have seen comments on the torque spec regarding this took. Breakaway torque is a sales gimmick that has no practical meaning. It is the torques to loosen a fastener immeduately after it is put on. There are properties of heat, metal etc that make a immediate application easier to remove with less torque than it took to apply. There are videos on this as well. Tests on the premier tools show that breakaway torque is very overstated. The standard torque spec is what you should look at. I believe its 350 ft lbs. which is a good spec for the price.

Got this because my crapsman couldn't press in/out ball joints in my rusty 97 ferd. Thing is powerful but I think it would be a much better tool if it had a brake so that when you stop pressing the trigger it stops. It made dealing with the ball joint press a little awkward because just a small press on the trigger and the press would zip in and out. Overall good tool.

I wish I could find a review that would show "real life" situation. In other words, remove a heavy duty truck wheel with high torque lug nuts off, such as this wheel shown. Removing The Entire wheel, to show how easily and fast this impact gun can remove ALL of the lug nuts off. NOT just "ONE". We all know that there is always one or two Nuts out of the bunch thats a pain to remove and a couple that are very easy. Try another video taking ALL the nuts off, so we can see how quickly and easily this tool makes the job. Thats what the reviews are about, convenience, value, quality. One nut is not a good test, could have easily been a fluke and an easy loose nut already. High quality reviews results in high number of subscribers.

Not to burst any bubbles but 140 ft lbs is not much for an impact wrench. The low cost $15 units are rated at 200 ft lbs.. I've been trying to find out the actual rating on your unit. Use the long black sockets and make sure it’s the 12 point sockets not the 6! If the bolt is stripped use a smaller sized socket size and hammer it in. Make sure you have a 1/2 breaker bar and make sure it’s a long one and pull, or even add a cheater bar to it to make it longer for more leverage.
