- So the last VHS I ever used for camera recording before transitioning to the smaller 8mm camcorder. I made a home movie for my nieces 1st birthday at Chuck E Cheese. '
All the children in this video are over 18 now. Amazing how time flies.

I don't think it flies but it certainly doesn't stop. For anyone! I'm 36 and I can barely remember being 26! I STILL don't have the children I thought I'd have by now..

Those times in the early 00s was such a blur to me but I’m really glad to see you recorded this. The 2000s was my day and my childhood. Glad to have grown up around that time. It seemed like a cool era with the style of how life was.
And I got even more 2000s than 90s videos!

Early 2000s were my chucke cheese days also, I was around the same age as the little girl who could walk in that video.
Back when the kids were children and the parents actually behaved like adults and didn't turn the place into a war zone.
I think it's the increase in stress everywhere; increase in traffic, population, consumerism, etc.
Honestly, the 2000s doesn't look a whole lot different from today, even though there are some differences. It is 18 years ago and 18 years before that, it was drastically different.
While I do notice some differences and how it does feel a bit dated compared to 2019/2020, it's nothing compared to the 19 year leap from 1982 to 2001.
I have to agree. Maybe there are advances in certain things but we all still use the same old tooth brush, the same old soap, really the same old anything. and people still have the same feelings and personalities. I was born in the 2000s so I did get to experience some of it. And while I can say that I remember it being different life still is relatively the same:)
Remove the tech from the equation and life was really similar.

i remember going there as a kid and playing the simpsons arcade game chuck e cheese pizza was pretty damn good too back in the 90s. I hated when the Chuck E Cheese Rat would randomly come up to you while you were playing and start doing some little dance or try to hip bump you . That rat was creepy

Oh man, I missed growing up in this decade...I was born on March 10th, 1999, so I remember those times pretty well.
I used to go to Chuck E. Cheese and then with my cousin, nephews and niece. Now they are nearly all grown.
With Covid-19 right now, low key these crowds gave me anxiety 😆 😬

im born at 2004 and in my country people start have smartphone touchscreen at 2010 and the children start to have their own phone at around 2012 im still remember the first person that have smartphone in my family is my dad and me and my sister really excited for that and we started playing tample run i was really amazed to see that im actually can tilt the phone to left or right to control it xD

@Retro Tech Kid It was actually a Sony TRV-37 8mm. But only a year later I bought the TR-818 because I wanted a later cam and miraculously I liked the camcorders without the flip out screen better. Not only that the 818 was a Hi8. The TRV-37 was a standard 8

@@fueledbymusic3 The reason I asked is because there was a Chuck E Cheese's in Santa Clarita were my parents used to take me and my brother around that time period and I thought this might have been it. This video was only a little bit after my 3rd birthday. I remember we were living in Acton at the time.
