    Great video mate I like the thinking about what you are saying from a field users point of view.

    *These fit perfectly in my Makita plunge saw track, hold securely **MyBest.Tools** and are easy to both clamp and release. So far I can't think of any down side, although will have to see if they last over time.*

    On that cutoff guide, did you cut the splinter gaurd to zero clearance on the first use? On the Mafell version, the rubber strip is already cut about 1/16" shy of the cut line. That suprised me but the dealer says that's the design.
    Thankyou.

    Donavan, what is the widest board you can crosscut with the 250 mm track?

      About 10” per spec I think I can do a 1x12 with it

    Hi Donovan. Found you on Matt's channel. I have the HKC 55 myself, and mine retracts unless I have too much sawdust on/in the track. I love how easy it is to make dead accurate cuts every time. One tip I have for you is not to use a blade that's thicker than the 1,8mm or whit too many teeth. Then the saw starts to struggle with power.

      " not to use a blade that's thicker than the 1,8mm or whit too many teeth" .. how big this problem is? how much struggleing?
      i want to buy it but to use for some maybe precise cuts?

    I've used the HKC 55, it's a nice saw, but for the money, this saw should have absolutely no flaws whatsoever , I believe the kit runs in excess of $ 700.00 with tax, Im sorry, but there is no way to reconcile that price tag, I'll stick with my Makita track saw which performs every bit as well for half the money.

    *Love it.==> It is a real game changer when working with sheet goods. I just wish the deep gauge had Imperial. Also I don't love the case. It is hard to open and close the latches.*

      @donavanshomes  7 лет назад

      I have a couple of the 5.2 ah batteries that came with the quadrive kit and bought the 2.6 ah afterwards. Now there is anew 6.2 ah battery that came out a few months ago.

    Nice work on the steps. Good review. I know from your comments you have sorted the return mechanism. From my observations since you had the shortest fence, it may have been you were pulling till the end of the fence and so it got caught. The other thought I had was the build up of dust. I have this saw with the fence it came out with. I have not had trouble with the return mechanism yet. The thing is I'm a left hander so I need to use my right hand. It is easy from people who use their right hand but I have to think before using the tool whilst right handers it comes natural.
    I bought a finer blade and cut melamine with the HKC 55. Hardly a chip. Very impressive.
    I did rip cutting and found the saw was working a bit on angle rip cuts. I have the 4.2 amp hour batterie. I didn't know they have 6.2 amp hour batteries. We are always late getting the higher amp hour batteries in Australia. At the moment we have the 5.2 ah.
    Someone stated festool stole the idea of the HKC 55 cordless saw from Mafele.
    I had a look at the Mafele and it uses a 36volt battery. You can use the bosch 36 volt battery. This will certainly give the machine enough power.

      I have the same issue.. One thing i dont like is the left handle placement. You will have to hold it a bit crossarmed
