    lived in the city for 6 years now, cant wait to leave next year. It's just not worth it folks I can see if you are a foreign traveller/student living here temporarily you might find it cool for a year. city was not like it was 5-6 years ago. many locals question why they still live here

      New requirements for travel to Canada. As of February 21, 2021, you must meet the new testing and quarantine requirements when coming to Canada. Visit www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/students.html

    I find this video somewhat exaggerated...I live comfortably with a monthly expense of less than $1400 (excluding education of course). I live near Marine Drive sky train station and I can’t say that it’s as lively as downtown, but it has everything that you’ll need to live in a city.

      I live in Yaletown in a 1 bdrm. My monthly expenses are similar to Ali's, but I don't spend as much on restaurants/bars especially not lately. I could decrease my expenses if I lived further out, got a roommate, etc. $1400 is excellent. How much of that is rent? I assume you must either have a roommate or renting a room?

    How much should someone earn in order to afford a $2000 apartment (Including Taxes)

    • @AliRastegari
      @AliRastegari  3 года назад

      Depends on lifestyle but I'd say $36.000 a year.

      @@AliRastegari Hi,
      Thanks so much for your prompt reply.
      I recently watched a video where a RUclipsr said that we should earn $80,000 per year in order to afford such (own) apartment at this price ($2000 per month).
      Taking your own expenses, I have almost the same lifestyle as yours.

    • @AliRastegari
      @AliRastegari  3 года назад +1

      @@siddh1799 Again depends on the lifestyle. I'd say that's for someone who has a family or kids and owns a car but if you're a single person $36.000 would cover all of your expenses. Cheers!

    Is it east to find part time jobs for international students?

    • @AliRastegari
      @AliRastegari  3 года назад +2

      Sure, depends on the job and skills or certificates you need but in general, jobs like cashier or store assistant are easy to find.

    There’s nothing cheap on Vancouver specially in the downtown core. I was lucky to be in a building for over 32 years since I moved to Vancouver and right now I am paying just over a thousand for an over 700 sq. ft. one bedroom apartment. You cannot find a one bedroom for that amount. The cheapest I found was $1350/mo. this was 2 months ago so why should I move when I’m paying cheap for my apartmeny

    • @AliRastegari
      @AliRastegari  3 года назад +1
