I’m telling you... you would get soooo many more subs if you vlog. You notice every RUclipsd who gets a supercar jumps in subs, streetspeed717 for example. Just vlog and go to car meets and get reactions and stuff. And keep the editing casual, not crazy. Just vlog a little bit, and you will get more subs. But hey, who am I?
I have done a few of those! The truth is, I also enjoy making videos because it allows me to be creative, which is why some videos have crazy edits. I am not trying to explode!
$10-15k for annual maintenance and warranty? What planet are you on? Annual servicing on a 650S is no more than £1,100 ($1,500) and you can get a full annual warranty for another £2,750 ($3,800) so that’s a max of £3,850 ($5,300) ... it’s throwaway figures & comments like these that do damage to a car!
I am still in love with the 650s! It's also more technologically advanced than the sport series e.g., active air brake, suspension. Not to mention it's also a spider!
There are a lot of guys on line who opted out of the extended warranty and have done well. Also for DIYer's the oil change can be done for under $100. The car is complex but not rocket science to work on.
@@theleviathan0 the warranty is good maybe for those who don't work on their own stuff. Some guys on McLaren life have their own lifts and everything. Great video. Love your McLaren
I think it may be tricky to work on it yourself, there is so much dependency on computers. Recently my car went in for a service, and even Mclaren (after a lot of effort) could not determine the source of an oil leak, so I feel that an DIYer may also have trouble...
Are you thinking of trading in your 650s for a 600lt or 720s anytime soon? Those cars are newer and faster. More attention i believe and better reaction videos. Would be more interesting if you don't go for the plain Jane silver and get a real super car color like red, green, orange.
Regarding looking closely at car's maintanence history, you referring to if someone buys the car used/pre-owned? Or do you mean the McLaren brand in general, history of all 650's for example? That way you'd know what to expect in terms of maintanance when you own one yourself. What if you lease a car like McLaren for say 3 years, would you still need to maintain it as often and spend as much money on it? Do more videos with your father's reactions. Would be funny to see his reaction to people's reactions of your car. I don't understand why Ferrari would ignore you since you have Ferrari ownership history. I would think they'd ignore someone with no Ferrari history that wants to move up to one of their more special cars.
Good question. Looking closely at the maintenance history will show me how well the car has been maintained, how much mileage between services, what the major repairs have been, who conducted the service etc. If it was leased, I don't think the extended warranty would be absolutely necessary, because you may only have 1 year of no coverage, which isnt a big risk. My dad doesnt live in the same country, and he refuses to come along.
It's been a couple years but I still LOVE the McLaren 650s! What's your dream car?
At the end of the day, that is all that matters. Glad you're still in love!
Unrealistic dream car:centenario
Slightly realistic dream car: R8 or NSX
Realistic dream car: Pandem Widebody kit FRS
Oh no... I just made a video talking about why McLaren is cooler than a Lambo lol

I heard about your story from one of the salesman from McLean, when I test drove the 570s
What did you learn? :D
the.leviathan Ferrari doesn't care for the people. I find Maclean is a much better product. For sure that is my next vehicle
Would you ever consider trading the 650s for something like a 570GT? Or perhaps a different car?

McLaren is such a gorgeous car. “Eff Ferrari” 😉

I will look into that for next year, I just extended my warranty again :D
