Things don’t always go as planned in railroading. Trouble with the electronics on 2263 and caused a battery issue that would not allow all three units to properly los or stay running. Diesel shops to the rescue. But in the mean time the bad unit was set off on the Wye while the previous days runner was pulled down. A later start, lower HO available and some trouble with cars at Nephton caused T06 to be skipped and only IKO loads would be run in to Toronto on the T07. Tie gang tie cranes have arrived at Botulf, with the rest of the gang still at Myrtle for the tie installs Indian River to Havelock. CP’s 123 year old swing bridge is closed to allow the runner to pass and it’s on the Springville, then Toronto Yard.
Along the proposed route of the VIA HFR project.

I love the local yard work you show here ! This sort of action is a favourite of mine and you show it so well. Also - very neat capture of the manually powered locking mechanism being made safe on the swing bridge !!! James.

I thought that bridge was not in service due to the high maintenance costs. Could they not tow the dead unit back to Toronto?
