I’ve been watching hoops for almost 60 years and Jokic is the best passer I’ve ever seen, including Magic. He’s by far the best player in the Association, no matter who they give the trophy to.
Is the continuity that really set the difference to me, i remember watching Magic as a kid and waiting for the game where he did his showtime things... That was beautiful, don't get me wrong .. but Jokic in these nuggets never, never miss a game, everytime there are multiple "how many eyes does he have?" Moments, or "he plays chess while everybody is playing checkers" moments... Every single game
For everyone who's been playing basketball, and who knows the game's fundamentals, Jokic is the ultimate generational player! His basketball IQ is off the charts, his court vision, his majestic pivoting, and his overall control of the game is unmatched!

@@user-fl9jc2mx5bLuka doesn't match the effect that Jokic has on a team. Luka is unbelievable but he is a score first player. Jokic reads what the game is giving him and then plays from there. The Miama game the other day is a perfect example.

The reason he is the unquestioned best basketball player in the world is all over the video: he makes it sooo easy - for himself anf everyone else. And, he uniformly leaves NBA defenses stuggling to understand what just happened to them. He has been consistently, uninterruptedly doing these things for five straight years. The only guys who have ever done this are Bird, Wilt, MJ, and Joker. Magic came close. LeBron isnt even in the conversation.
Difference between Joker and everyone is that his impact is tangible to certain players individually and to the way team plays overall! His connection with Murray, 1 on 1,him and Gordon and finally him and Porter is growing!Jokic shares with rookies unselfishly and got the whole team buying into the winning system! Nobody is individually as influential as Joker even with bigger numbers! He also has least amount of ball hogging!

Best player in the world 4th year in a row. Miss me with that Embid talk, Eveything Embiid does is forced. No raw natural talent. The robbery last year on Joker for 3 MVPs in a row is nothing but blasphemy. In the end he got the mvp that matters most, in the finals. He’s about to win his 3rd mvp and his 2nd Chip/ 2nd FMVP. Once he finishes the season, he will surpass Hakeem, don’t even debate me on that one. He will crack top 5 centres all time, and when it’s all said and done he will crack top 10 players all time
If you look at most of the major advanced stats (WS, OBPM, VORP, even DBPM, PER, on/off) jokic is an absolute monster who has been leading the NBA in globally everything those past few years. He's miles ahead of evreyone in terms of being useful and having a strong impact on his team and on the wins. The nuggets would literally be a disaster without him. Yet he got robbed of his MVP last year because of a crying embiid. Obviously, Embiid is really damn good, but look at the advanced stats and understand how Jokic was clearly the most VALUABLE player by far.

I've noticed that almost 90 percent of the time, the nuggets take only 5 seconds or less to score a basket once the ball enters their court. That is not just dilly dolling around but a rather pre-planned, determined executional play.

I love watching the Nuggets play their game. I think they are the only team in the league that play a complete game using all of the things available to them and use the basics and fundamentals. That said, the league itself is pathetic, EVERYONE walks, travels and carries. If anyone wants to watch REAL fundamental basketball and REAL defense, watch the classic 1969-70 NBA Championship Finals, Knicks and Lakers.
I wonder if Denver tips the refs before a game maybe they could get a couple of fouls called. Just on these clips I counted at least 8 or 9 fouls that should have been called. It's a joke.
And no one knows how to play defense.

Basics and fundamentals beat flash in the pan every time. It's just entertainment and nothing else. Just because they are better athletically doesn't mean a thing if the brain isn't working in conjunction with it.
