You guys really need to add subtitles to your videos, in general, but particularly for interviews like these with bad audio.
4:29 Vision is actually a Synthezoid because he was made in the Tissue machine. Meaning he's half Vibranium half Organic and that also explains why his Vibranium is Decaying
WHY DONT WE GOT PAUL BETTANY IN GOOGLE, GOOGLE?
@@lgetguud this!!! Omg I’d pay for a Siri with Paul’s voice
The fact that him and his wife played both AI parts in the MCU is just perfection
Is his wife Friday?
@@angelespeters5905 no sorry she plays Karen, the AI in Spider-man's suit
they should have called the AI voice "Madam Web" cause it would have been a nice continuity thing and they could have used it later on, making her her own character maybe like Vision
Ohhh interesting!
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 I think the plan is to make her jocasta
Since he was in Iron man and is still in the MCU that makes Paul the longest running actor in the marvel universe in this point of time.
Edit: I believe WandaVision makes him the only actor in the MCU to play 3 different characters (Jarvis, vision and white vision).
You forgot about happy and pepper
@@glorious7945 They're not in WandaVision in 2021 are they though.....
Also Fury. he was in the post credit scene of Iron Man 1
Voice actor until Age of Ultron
Hugh jackman was around as wolverine for 17 years, if it counts
Everyone says hes purple but he looks RED to me... Maybe i need an eye exam. Hes red in the thumbnail right?
Yeah I don’t know why they say he is purple he is more like cranberry red
Same!
Thank you guys. I was starting to think im going color blind... Or color retarded... Whatever u call someone who thinks purple is red.
In some of the behind the scenes shots it looks more of a magenta color than the deep red it appears to be on screen in the final film. I think it's just a matter of how the camera picks up the color and then how it's color graded in post, presumably the real paint that they're putting on him just has more of a purple hue to it and that's why everyone says he's purple.
@@hiimchrisj yeah i get that... Thk u... Looks red.
I am actually shocked they got to improvise the Wanda killing him scene. It brings me to tears e v e r y t i m e
yes same :(
I was moved just seeing the clip again. 😢
SAME! Literally watching it during the interview my eyes got a lil teary. Genuinely amazed it was improv
I don't wanna go. I'm sorry
Vision death was the saddest to me, when he says "I only feel you". literal waterfalls 😭😭😭
When Vision said " I love you! " right before he died, you could feel the pain in his voice. Brilliant Performance. Simply Brilliant!
but it was SO SAD. I was literally crying my eyes out when he said that. (but it was a brilliant peformance)
"I really love dying twice."
Loki:"First time?"
Dr Strange : "You kids Amuse me "
The scene where he dies was IMPROVISED? No. Fucking. Way. It's one my favorites from the mcu.
same!!
what does that mean??
@@xay2417 I assume you're asking what "improvised" means. Well, in this case it means that the scene was basically unscripted, with the actors having to make up the lines on the spot, relying on their chemistry and knowledge of their characters for it. Which is why I was shocked, because I love that scene and had just found out that it was all thought of on the spot.
@@duwanglover7730 damn really
@@xay2417 ye ye
He's a humble guy. I like his attitude.
He was just glad he got the Jarvis gig. He accidentally became a fan favorite
From the way he tells it, he was lucky to get the Jarvis gig. Despite being an incredible actor, he just wasn't getting all that many gigs and was a B-list at best(employability-wise).
“It’s okay. You can never hurt me. All I feel is you.” FCCCCKKKKK
My favorite line was, "I was born yesterday."

ALI'S INTERVIEWS ARE LITERALLY THE BEST!!! HE MAKES EVERYONE SO HAPPY
I agree
Yea
I agree too.
Fav interviewer
I AGREE! Every time I wanna watch interviews for movie promotions, I search if there is am.available Ali Plumb interview first.
It's weird to remember that *he's* the longest-reigning MCU actor...
well, technically he's one of the founder of MCU
Oh yeah, I didn’t think about that. Probably because he’s a minor character.
NICK FURY was also in IronMan!!
@@VIDS3687 Yeah, good point, but he’s not in WandaVision so I’m not 100% sure if he’s still around.
...Even though he died twice in MCU
The fact that the powerful line “You could never hurt me” cams improvised?! Damn.
He did pretty damn good, in fact a bit too human but that made it even worse because you could tell he was getting closer to being fully sentient/human-like through his connection to Wanda.
"I only feel you" 🤧
WANDAVISON IS A COMPLETE CONFUSION BUT IT'S A COMPLETE PERFECTION.
Watch emergency awesome he explain what is going on
Give it time and pay attention to the adverts 🤓 and what’s in the background & certain close ups 🤓
I have a feeling next episode is gonna have some BIG explanations(maybe not all of them, but judging by where last episode ended, it seems like perspectives will shift a little to explain things)
Ep 4 explains it all if you're not daft enough to predict it before. I'll just say that, NO SPOILERS.
The whole basis for me makes no sense lmao
It’s always crazy to think that while RDJ gets credited with being the elder statesmen of the MCU (rightfully so I might add), that Paul Bettany was another one from the beginning and no one notices lol. Shit, I didn’t until this video.
Bettany was basically RDJ's butler, virtual butler. Also, he's British - they make the best butlers.
Every star has its time. This is his.
I’m not a marvel fan but the scene where Wanda has to kill Vision breaks me and finding out it’s improvised, OH MY GOD. 😭
They really should have had Wanda replace Captain Marvel. I still get tingles when Wanda goes OP on Thanos in Endgame.
oh man, i totally forgot he was jarvis once
will vision was created when jarvis took over the artificial body ultron was Creating so he’s basically the same person
How?
In Avengers 2 Jarvis turns into Vision, and the Studios approved the script only if Bettany plays the role of Vision. Continuity is important for Marvel.
I did too. There's been a lot of darn movies and not everyone is a super fan that remembers every detail of every one. In fact, at one point I missed a few and eventually circled back to them. These little reminders of things I have forgotten are fun.
How
Jarvis was one of my favorite parts of the Iron Man films, so I never forgot.
Most touching line he said was “you could never hurt me”, just before she had to kill him.
Two episodes.... were effortlessly miraculously confusingly delightful.
@@beo1282 i wasnt confused either. But it is delightful
I’m totally lost, but I want more!
J.A.R.V.I.S and Tony, a duo that we missed dearly :(
Isnt it just Jarvis? Named after the Starks butler Jarvis.
@@jeringatai3156 Well yes and no, He is named after the Starks butler Jarvis but J.A.R.V.I.S is also an acronym for Just A Rather Very Intelligent System
I miss them too
Do you think there’s any chance Tony makes an appearance in the show as a hallucination?
i forgot they both died.
Scarlet killing Vision scene WAS IMPROVISED???????? I CRIED AGAIN
knowing that the “you could never hurt me” was improvised... ahh i love paul bettany.
"Ahh, NAKED GUY!"
If I ever see Paul Bettany in real life this is what i'm saying
I love A Knight's Tale!
I really enjoyed that movie when I younger and he's hilarious in it!
He was HILARIOUS. Absolutely the most memorable character, next to Heath Ledger.
I don't think Paul Bettany gets enough credit in the MCU
I’m happy to see Paul again as Vision in WandaVision. He’s a great actor and perfect in this role. I hope Shuri cloned his brain and he comes back in some form.
Okay but THIS is the best interview ever! The questions, the flow.. Everything was so beautifully carried out. Also, please do bring Tom Hiddleston when the loki series will be out! This was so fun to watch. Thankyou!
Fathima Hasna K well said
Elisabeths smiles when Paul is messing up his lines are supercute
yeah, that's not purple
I think he starts off more wine/purple and then they add Marvel blue filter coloring
Its purple when its filmed, but its turned to more of a red type colour when it's being edited
I love purple that right there aint purple
@@archer4740 its probably purple when they do makeup but turns unto reddish kinda color because of the camera or color grading in the editing room
@@Nixx1.0 we dont appreciate brain usage in these lands ( youtube comments )
Vision is that one superhero that just has a soothing voice. Thanks to Paul. Same with Dr Manhattan
the fact that visions death was improvised, makes it 10x more heart breaking FUCK
Disney should release an Alexa type technology called Jarvis with Bettany's voice.
Ali Plumb really knows how to engage actors in conversations opposed to such mundane Q and A.
Paul is hilarious!! but I've got to say he look nothing like vision even in his human form!! maybe it's the hair I don't.. Love his accent and after watching the first two episode I'm extremely excited for more!
I think it’s the hair and the wacky glasses they have him in😂
When he take off the glasses , the mustache with a blond wig he will look like vision in human form absolutly , they didn't photoshop him
Your interviews NEVER disappoint Ali Plumb. Name and all!
I feel like he blacks out when acting as the soul of vision possesses him once more
tell me how you can NOT love Paul, he's just so precious
He looks more of a berry red colour to me??
I read an article describing the Vision makeup process which called the makeup "cranberry".....I think that's exactly it.
He seemed more redish at first and now he is more purple-ish maybe?
Quite like a raspberry
@@johnnyskinwalker4095 The thing is he's almost purple (magenta) when filming but I'm they chose that colour specific colour on purpose knowing it's going to be colour corrected later to almost red in post-production. My guess is they chose magenta as the filming colour because it's the actual opposite to green, and since they film in front of green screens a lot of the time, using the exact opposite will make it even easier to separate him from the background in post.
@@georgezee5173 Ah thank you for that. It kept bugging me why in some shots it almost came off as purple. And when they released some Vision action figures and stickers, in some of them, he had purple skin. I was wondering if Marvel would slowly transition Vision from red to purple. So maybe those that made this merchandise had seen maybe the actor in his purple face version and someone at Marvel forgot to correct them.
This is how every interviews should be
2:00 he has the perfect voice omg
Respect to Ali Plumb, good interviewer. Its like hes having a convo with the actors rather than asking questions
Can I just say that Paul looks so different
Because he has a mustache here , a ginger one ! Wearing a glasses , and they do him a wig for wandavision that's it
Paul Bettany’s glasses have a slot for the mind stone.
he was jarvis!? wow so he's been in the MCU longer than i thought! 😮😮

Ahhh the world needed a Paul Bettany
He is Great this interviewer. Really seems like the people being interviewed enjoy it as well.
One of the best actors to be cast in Marvel. One the best voices period in Hollywood
His voice is amazing and his an amazing actor himself
He seems like such a cool person that you'd love to have as a friend. Funny and witty. The banter back and forth in this interview was refreshing.
Omg he's such a loveable person 😂😂😂 How did I not realize this before???? Thank you Marvel for giving him and Wanda their own show ❤️❤️❤️

2. I’m surprised his wife Jennifer played AI Karen in Spider-Man! That’s awesome!
3. Yes! A Knight’s Tale is one of my favorites and I think the first role I saw him in.
I just love Ali. I've been seeing a couple of the interviews he's done and he seems like a really fun guy to be around.
Paul's story is great.
-Struggling to get any roles, let alone pay his mortgage
-Lands Jarvis, gets more roles
-Years later, producer tells him he's done in the business
-When he seemingly thought all hope was lost, he landed Vision
-Vision dies, he thinks he's about to be released
-Resigns, and co-stars in arguably the most popular TV show today
I really like his voice. I hope Google Assistant will feature his voice.
Vision is a great character and I am a huge MCU fan, but his Chaucer is just brilliant.
i just love him lol he seems like the nicest guy ever. even when he’s vision
He’s so respectful about this movies and his roles. Hope Paul keep on having a great time as we do. 🤘🏼❤️
The death scene is so painful 😭😭😭 I had no idea the dialogue was improvised, it was really heartfelt
Paul is having a blast. I’m so glad to see chew the scene. He’s great!

i still remember pauls performance in a knights tale 😊 oh shit i wrote this before writing the first and i was shocked they mentioned a knights tale at the ending nice!
Paul is one of the most humble MCU actors.
He's fantastic in WandaVision. Episode 5 in particular he really flexed his actings muscles I really felt for vis
I'm sorry no one is talking about how he calls her LIZZIE???? UGH THATS SO CUTE!
6:21 is so hillarious, as this serious scene takes place, and Paul's just dying of laughter off screen XDDD
I absolutely loved Paul as Chaucer.
Can I just say that Paul is just such a delight & always has been? He had me laughing this entire interview after a truly crap day. Bless you Paul 😘
I want everyone to know that I definitely didn't cry again when they showed the death scene. 😖
I'm so happy to know that a knights tale meant enough to him that he still brings it up
He’s Such a incredible actor ♥️
oh yeah forgot he was in this knights tale ...the best character actually in it..very well done
He really did a good job in that role
i love that people say stuff about A Knight's Tale to him. that is my favourite film of his. "we walk in the shadow of his turbulence!"
I love him as Uncle Frank...he cried and that made me to cry too...
Gosh I love Paul. He's so energetic, charismatic, and fun
his performance in Uncle Frank is relentlessly good, also Every Woman Knows A Secret, also David Copperfield, also Master and Commander, also Beautiful Mind, also many other things, his not JUST good at being purple.
Margin Call too.
I’ve seen that death scene so many times but for some ungodly reason when I watched it this time I bursted into tears
What a great interviewer. I'm enjoying this interviews.
All the greats trivialize their talent. This man is a fantastic artist.
He’s been one of my favorite parts of the MCU, I’m gonna be so sad when his contract runs out 😩
"I've been born, I've gone to the window and now I'm giving a speech" was by far the best part. I'm legit in tears. 7:50
I for one want to thank this Plumb guy, his videos are quality content guaranteed.
It warms my heart knowing people recognize him as Chaucer. A Knight's Tale is one of my favorite films.
Using "Behind The Mask" by Yellow Magic Orchestra while Paul is explaining the cowl he stole is probably the best, most literal, song to use. Good job BBC!
Love the depth and how authentic you are throughout your interviews and allowing the guests to be heard! Can’t wait for more content!
Ali Plumb and Graham Norton are the two best interviewers in the world. Well done Britain.
Paul is so down to the earth, love the chap!
Visions character development in the show rivals any in the MCU and were only 5 episodes in as of today Paul Bethany has some serious talent and I’m so glad he’s gotten a main character role in this show he’s been fucking unreal gives me chills
8:25 "Oh! So I'm nailing it, high praise, guv."
Did not expect to hear Behind the Mask playing in the background at the end.
Wow I didn’t know he is married to Jennifer Connelly, lucky man. Since 2003, looks like a good relationship. Cool.
Vision is one of my favorite Avengers! Please don't let him be dead again! 😭
What a great interview. It's rare to see such chemistry between the actor and the interviewer.
Honestly I still love him from da vinci code. His character was so... I legit don't know what word to use... Complex? Haunting maybe idk. If it wasnt for my love of marvel doubling by the day, I'd continue to forget it was him in the da vinci code. You can tell he put so much work into it.
