If you want to hear Johanna sing a GORGEOUS song written by her husband, Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish, give a listen to "A Lifetime of Adventure" from his solo album based on (and yes I'm actually serious) an award winning graphic novel: "The Life And Times Of Scrooge (McDuck)." She is also in a band with Tuomas and Troy Donockley (also of Nightwish) called "Auri"
@@MatsuPatty Yes! You definitely will not regret time spent listening to "The Life And Times Of Scrooge McDuck." Well, of course not, because it's written by Tuomas Holopainen. How could it be anything BUT masterful perfection? ;)
Johanna has such a beautiful and unique voice. I see everyone filled you in and gave you recommendations. We in the US miss out on a lot of music from around the world. Nightwish opened me up to a whole new world of music and I am 65yrs old. I guess you are never to old............ :-)
@@MatsuPatty No no...not at all. I hope that not need to guess your age but if pressing to me to do so, I would say that 29 ! (That is most common age of all ladies and also most safety guesswork...)
*If you wanna hear more of her, listen to: A U R I . The bandmembers are: Johanna on lead voices & viola, Tuomas [The brilliant mastermind of Nightwish] on Keyboards, Synthesizers & backing vocals and multi-instrumentalist and Nightwish-member Troy Donockley on Acoustic & Electric Guitars, Bouzouki, Uilleann Pipes, Low Whistles, Aerophone, Bodhran, Keyboards & Voices. language not problem in music. i listening before italy music, what i dont understand. english music i only sometimes start looking what is the lyrics. amazing voice this johanna. auri second album coming soon. thanx patty reaction and have great day there.
More like, the pronounciation of every letter is different. When one changes from language to another, even sounds we think are the same, have differences. And our brains mislead us, as when brains hear talk, they will interpret it to familiar patterns to you. Hence for adult speakers learning to pronounce native way a foreign language is so difficult, impossible to most of us: brains don't let you hear the foreign sounds right.
Idk about everyone but Kuolevainen is her best song so far. Her voice is just perfection and one of the best there is. This song makes the most of it since it's primarily her singing with her pure voice(without any backups, edits etc). I really wish I can hear more songs like this from her.

My wife's friend is Johanna's old schoolmate, who has said, that Johanna "the golden throat" always got all the best roles from school plays =)
My translation (didn't find the officials with an easy search):
Mortal Kuolevainen
1 (A)
They say I'm a fairy (spirit) Ne sanoo mä oon keijukainen
They say I'm not *real Ne sanoo mä en totta oo *(or literally: not true)
I'm some strange *new-comer Mä oon joku outo tulokas, *('new 'comeling', something alien - stranger)
a new inhabitant, so they speak uusi asukas, niin ne puhuvat

Neither flesh nor blood, I am En lihaa enkä verta oo

a wizard-seer, so they speak velhonäkijä, niin ne puhuvat

Bu' tho I believe in wonders, Mut vaikka mä uskon ihmeisiin,
I can't work magic(s) en taikoja tehdä voi
Refrain (B): Kerto(säe):
When I'm hurt Kun mua sattuu
when the knives turn in my heart kun sydämessä veitset kääntyy
I'm shaking like everyone Mä vapisen niin kuin jokainen
a human being, mortal ihminen, kuolevainen
If this will end Jos tää loppuu
if tonight (thia) love will finish jos tänä yönä rakkaus päättyy
I'll break down like everyone Mä hajoan niin kuin jokainen

3 (C)
I'm *hurt, when you hold me like that, Haavoitun, kun mua pitelet noin, *(lit- 'wounded')
