I think I understand (maybe) do you guys remember when Candy Cadet said the story? and when Cassie found the mimic she said " you're not Gregory , who are you ?" then the mimic said "i-i'm Gregory".. doesn't that give you a ring when SB comes out? that mimic at the end was the monster in the story so he was watching us all the time and copy Gregory voice so he can trick Cassie and let her think that Gregory needs help to escape but in the fact that the mimic wants to go free not Greg and plus Gregory escape with Vanessa and (maybe) Freddy

@@Moonlight_0419 Ye, the BurnTrap and PQ got mixed to form the "canon" ending that leads to Ruin. (BurnTrap was confirmed to be canon ending, PQ was strongly implied to be canon in Ruin, so this means they both got mixed up)

I like that u used the Gregory was cut off thoery but as nice as it sounds if u think about it, why would the mimic use Gregory’s voice when the jig is up and Cassie knows about it not being Gregory. also if the mimic was going to cut the elevator cable wouldn’t it have done it sooner because it’s already revealed itself. The glitch in the audio when Gregory’s talking could just be the transmission signal being jammed cuz she’s in the sinkhole and to put a cherry on top of this debunk how the fuck could the mimic cut the elevator cable with 1 arm
I know I am VERY late to this but I can explain. The Mimic is a very intelligent AI and is also very strong. It teared the limbs and heads off of people in the books, with ease as snapping a twig. It manipulated Cassie into doing it’s bidding, setting it free. Gregory of course told Cassie how to get to the elevator, the WHOLE time and then came onto the intercom. The Mimic is known to hack things, it hacked the Helpi AI/VANNI mask. Perfect opportunity into removing a problem from stopping it’s goal. Makes sense? As for the “jig is up” part, since Gregory is not there in person and Cassie can’t see the Mimic, it did what it only knew how to and mimicked Gregory’s voice again. It probably did snap the elevator cables, even with one hand. As I said before the Mimic is CRAZY strong, so it would not be surprising for it to do that with one hand. Hope this helps lol.
