You’re goalkeeper needs to up his game man
Just as a tip: Get yourself a certified FFP2/FFP3 mask (best from '3M', they are the most dense - no ad), which also protects yourself from COVID if it fits properly (no air flows past the side/top), because they filter the inhaled air and therefore also provide self-protection. Normal masks "only" protect the people in the environment and not yourself. Just in case you didn't know that yet 🙂

Great game Matt! I want to share my perspective on one play about other options you could try mixing in, to keep being unpredictable. This is coming from a midfielder player POV ❤️. Anyways lots of love! You’re a great role model; that recovery run on the second goal conceded was mad! Too bad you weren’t wearing one of those GPS undershirts, Id love to see what your top speed was there. Keep up the hard work!
At 16:26 I would try to open my body up more so I could take a small touch outside and then *ideally* play a lofted through ball over the LB to your CAM making the run in behind. If you keep watching you see the CB already has to mark the striker inside and would not have made it over in time.
A variation of this would be to play a hot ball to the winger so he can one touch it inside, either back to you or to the CAM. I know the defender is closing but you can pull it off if your first touch is correct. Maybe throw a step over or shoulder dip inside early if he is too tight to the line.
The ball you were played was pretty soft in all honesty but you put yourself in more trouble by letting the ball get stuck underneath you, I’d love to see you be a bit more decisive. Like trusting that your teammate is making the run for a reason.
Now I noticed you made a conscious decision to play the ball with your strong right foot back inside, I’m not sure how confident you are with the left foot but if you take that explosive first touch away from the defenders momentum, I would love to see a hard ground through ball the CAM making the run in behind. The LB is pretty tight to the winger and doesn’t even pay attention to him. Same earlier point about the CB applies.

Play good football? As much as l love Matt, I think he's a very mediocre player. He rarely wins 1v1s and gets muscled off the ball so easily despite being relatively tall and athletic. Offensively, he barely contributes to his team's attacking play and ALWAYS plays safe. There's a reason why he's a second division player.

Hi Matt @7.06 is it the correct decision to pressure the aerial ball played to the winger quickly as in moving before the ball has reached that wing. I know at my level if that pass was on the ground the space you left between you and your centre back would’ve definitely been exploited by the run from a central midfielder.

I'm a RB and I play NPSL and UPSL and that defending at 3:55 it was terrible defending, I'm not better than you but you should've force him out but you gave him enough time and space to shoot.
When they scored on you in the counter attack you did your job. You hustled to the play and made the shooters angle tight. The keeper should have saved that.
I think number 5 is really the one to blame, dude had a lot of time to get near the no. 42 and didnt close the space

Watch the video, there wasn’t many opportunities for him to attack and he’s an RB his job is to defend first. Check his other analysis videos where he plays as a winger, he’s got a lot of plays in the final third
