Do you still have him? I bought a baby iguana almost the same size (maybe a bit smaller) and 3 years later I had a fully grown male over 5 ft long (from snout to tip of tail). I had him for over 18 years and he was as tame as your when I first got him. He had the run of the house and access to his cage whenever he wanted heat. He became a member of our family....the stories I have, lol. Please update us on your little guy. Thanks
I would recommend getting cypress mulch and taping the top of the cool/humid side. You would also have to spot clean the cage and dust the lettuce in calcium because it will help strengthen its bones and help with the nice green color. Another way to keep humidity up is to get sphagnum moss so you don't have to put tape over the cool/humid side. You would also need a large water dish for him to soak his whole body in.(I recommend a 12 qt. tub.) the large water dish will also keep the humidity up. You would also need to get more hiding spots in the enclosure because green iguanas are quite shy but they are diurnal so you wouldn't have to worry about not seeing him. I would recommend on handling for 30 mins + because they do get aggressive easily.
Hello there. I was considering utilizing a nook in my house for iguana cage, much like you have in this video. I am curious what your plans are for covering the front as well as the interior walls? I imagine the drywall has to be covered with something due to the high humidity factor and of course the front would have some sort of material you can see through, but would keep the heat, humidity, and your cat out. I was trying to find a video of the completed cage, but don't see one!
y do people have aquariums for Iguanas u need tall cages about a 2 feet taller than your iguana buy a screen cage or make a custom one don't get me wrong ur iguana does look healthy but Iguanas get pissed when older if they don't have that proper cage, lighting, feeding, and spending time with him/her
Ok your going to need a lot bigger cage more taller to be honest because if your cage isn't the perfect habitat for them they get aggressive including how you feed and handle them
So the title of this video should be "THIS IS HOW TO NOT KEEP AN IGUANA".....especially a baby. I bet this lil guy died from her lack of care. Glad this stupid fad of stupid people making videos of things they've done wrong is completely over....ha Baby Iguanas need the high humidity of a RAIN FOREST to shed properly...not sand from the frickin' desert. And an aquarium is NOT what a TREE dwelling pet needs or wants. This set up is CRUEL. To _wait_ till this 'infant' gets bigger to "treat them correctly" is the dummiest advice ever and you should be banned for misinformation spewing bs content. But nvm, she stopped trying after YT stopped paying dummies for their content. Good! Poor lil guy

tip for humidity spray the paper towel with water
you can put a towel or foil on half of the top to keep humidity in
This is better than a paper towel, this is what I use to keep the humidity in, cling wrap!
I love your iguana videos! I recentley got a green iguana and you are giving me some great ideas for caring for him!
Your a good mommy to your iguana
and If they don't get taken well cared for they become aggressive when old and can cause harm to the owner or anyone else
You should use coconut fiber bedding:) my iguana loves it!
to keep in the humidity put a towle on the screen part
