Cripes...he's gorgeous and really hasn't changed much, has he? His face is practically the same and his voice to some extent. It's his personality which shines through and that seems much the same today, too.
I know, it's incredibly sad - but don't forget his dad lived to see him become world champion in Rome in 2009! His dad famously interrupted the press conference afterwards to tell Tom how proud he was of him and ask for a hug, and got an eyeroll (and a hug, of course) from the 15yo Tom. 😂So he did live to see his son achieve the ultimate success. That's a comfort, I think.
Celebrities can benefit a lot more [than we mere mortals] by having so many more references of themselves than just still phtographs to look back on and see themselves as they were. I wished he'd been asked: What you you think you'll be doing when you're 30?
You will see quite a lot wearing braces in the uk … understandingly not as much as you Americans … but that’s probably down to the fact we’re not as vain as you yanks
@@jolewis-brown6608 you’re one of the few British people I know of that that had braces. How come we often see (from non famous rich Brits) is people’s teeth that look like Stonehedge.
Love seeing Tom w his dad. ❤Tom has his dad's eyes & eyebrows. So sorry he lost his dad so young. He's a champ in life, not just in the pool.
Same exact face at the age of 30 minus the braces
So mature for his years. So much pressure. But he’s come through every challenge as the true star he is.
Confident, bubbly personality even at 13 ❤
I know, ahead of his time 😮

Boy, his voice hasn’t change in 17 years. I think his voice is higher now, at age 30.
Watching this now knowing his father sadly passed prior to London 2012, Makes this interview have so much more meaning, It makes me so sad!

His father is looking down incredibly proud of his son

Composure at 13 - wow
Absolutely adorable!
Have to Love Tom!! Almost worthy of a Knighthood!!! A True British icon!!
An OBE , maybe in a few years if he achieves more success, otherwise knighthoods will become meaningless.

Swapped one daddy for another 🤣

bro stop
That’s a bit of a sick comment. His dad died of brain cancer when he was still only a kid. You’re a sad individual.
Jealous?
Wow, I didn’t even know they had braces in England 😂. He must’ve been special way back in to get braces. As I’ve never met a Brit wearing braces.
I had braces back in 1964. Lots of people in the UK wear braces.
Braces are common in the UK, particularly for kids with richer parents
