This video proves that behind every great athlete there is a superb coach! We don't often think that the coach makes that much of a difference, but she/he/they certainly do!

Love Jane's reactions poolside, cheering when things go well and lifting up when things don't go as planned. Great coach.

"We got to hire people. And then, the coach part, I can teach that." This perfectly encapsulates how Jane has managed to build the coaching staff of a team of high performing athletes, all of whom look genuinely happy.

Jane is such a wonderful and admired Olympic coach! But her strained and hoarse voice is concerning. I hope it is not vocal damage from smoking.

What's the matter? Have you suddenly realised you would NEVER have been good enough to either be in the Team or Coach the best??? Despite all your trite attempts at vlogging you still can't generate many subscribers 😂 😂😂😂

@@wickedcabinboy Because the Olympics is not a team sport. It includes teams for specific events, but the people representing Great Britain do not compete together, and will barely know each other, like a real team would do. The label 'Team GB' was invented by a branding/marketing agency, then circulated around the media to create some faux emotional connection between watchers of the Olympics and competitors, like that typically experienced between football fans and the club they support. It also helps sell t-shirts and water bottles. It's marketing BS, and once you recognise that, it can't be unseen.

@@davidatkinson-Music-and-More - I see your point and agree with you.
But I go even further in my disdain for the Olympics. I see the them as nothing more than a commercial entertainment enterprise. Designed to encourage cities to build horribly expensive new infrastructure merely for a single series of sporting events. And often those venues are left to rot and decay as they have no further use when the games move on. This is an incredible waste of taxpayer money. It's particularly bad in cities with vast populations of poverty stricken people whose basic needs such as food, shelter and medical care goes unmet.
Admission fees are exorbitant, and most of the athletes, save for those participating in a few select sports, get nothing of value for their participation. The leaders of the Olympic committees however grow fat and rich from the bribes of cities and developers as they seek to have the games held in their particular cities.

@@wickedcabinboy Except there are cities that don't this. Investing in facilities like the one you see in the video is great for the public. There are similarly no abandoned buildings from Atlanta in '96 and they made money from that games.
Countries that squander the opportunity should hold themselves responsible or never should have bid in the first place.
