      Awesome video, she’s great at explaining. The idea of needing 2 days at a stealership for software updates after owning a Model 3 performance for 3 years is nuts. And paying 2x more for a EV with 50% less range, worse software (the maps were unbelievably slow and looked like a 15 year old Ford infotainment) , and it’s slower than the Tesla that’s 1/2 the cost. Crazy. Pretty car tho.

    Very thorough and realistic review. This is my dream car (for a daily driver). I could probably just about afford a RWD version with a few options. But it’s so easy to go into the configurator and think “I’m already spending this much so I might as well get what I want”. With that mindset I quickly get myself to a 120k cross turismo. Current wait time is over a year which is probably a good thing for my wallet.

    • @muribe85
      @muribe85 Год назад +2

      The configurator hits hard. I bought the 4S, starting in Norway at aroung 90K USD. End price was 145K, as the configurator was kind enough to help me pick the right options for me (right?). I'm selling the car now as my family just went +1 and the car is now too small. I think I will lose a lot of money as I went for "all" the options. We'll see. : )

    Excellent review and really appreciate a woman’s opinion. We drove this model and my wife told the salesman it was a “slug” compared to my 2022 model S. He said we need to buy the dual motor version. When configuring Taycan, there are over 100 options which must make it very difficult to build and inventory.
    We are leaning more toward Lucid for its range, but fear some problems with software and UI.

      So far from the truth. Lucid and porsche have way better luxury interior and presence on the road. Teslas are a dime a dozen these days with the depreciation model s plaid was 140k last year now its 85k lmao what a joke. And the interior is so blah bunch of plastic areas and a single iPad. So boring to look at. Porsche has a taycan turbo gt said to have more then 1000hp coming out soon. It was spotted being tested at nurumbring. It'll prolly be the faster then lucid def tesla.

    The Lucid has the best UI I think right now. Hope more manufacturers take infotainment software more seriously. It's a shame. Hyundai's 360 3D camera is way better too. Shocking to see this on a $100K vehicle vs a $45K Ionic 5. And no 1 pedal driving?? 😭 After watching this, it's unfortunately no longer my dream car. What a shame.

    Please provide comparison of typical costs and duration of waiting for repairs to be made due to different type of collisions for Teslas compared to popular ICE cars.

    Remote boot operation: aim for the C in logo. That is where the sensor is.

    So many people do not like EVs. I usually drive performance cars, but I have been happy with my Tesla 3 and Y Performance vehicles so far. I still have my manual BMW M3 with manual and full mods but the Teslas still get used the most. I do think that it is best to have a manual ICE vehicle for fun though.

    ¡Qué bueno! Me alegro mucho volver a verte, Jennifer. I had followed you on Twitter, but I shut down that account months ago, and have missed your posts. Yes, your Taycan is gorgeous, no question, but… out of my league. I assume you still have your Polestar 2, right? I remember that you really loved that car also. I have soured on Tesla and am now looking at other EVs to replace my Model 3. We'll see what I opt for! Espero verte más a menudo en esta serie.

    So it WAS a Taycan I saw on the road. Noticed a very specific sound when I heard a car taking a left turn out of a parking lot and sped away. Very cool sound, reallly 80's style futuristic. For the rest it looks like a Porsche.
