Great video! When I got mine, I was definitely ready to cut them off. But then I liked them more how they were so decided to keep them untouched. Once they are worn out I’ll cut them and that way I’ll appreciate both looks!

I think it looks better with just the hemp, in fact I wouldn’t mind if these weren’t tear away at all and didn’t have any orange underneath. I like the earth tones

I totally agree. The hemp is definitely staying on when I cop these, cause imo the hemp is balanced really well with the bright colours. I don’t like sneakers that are overpowered with bright colours, plus I honestly love how much character the hemp gives it.

There’s something soothing about doing something like this. Kinda like coloring when younger. But I think distressing the hemp a lil so that the orange is peaking thru would look dope

That’s the right attitude! They really do… I’ve worn mine the last couple days and when people see that orange pop they love it.

If I get my hands on these I think I would only cut the medial side swoosh. If I was to cut any part. Orange or green laces are the ways to go with these.

I had plans for those… they were recently stolen from me in a break in
I flip flopped back & forth all day about whether I'd pick up the Jordan IV SB....or the Jarritos Dunk SB.
I chose the Jordan IV.
and I'm bummed.
...and had I chosen the Jarritos, I'd still be bummed.
...because no matter which shoe I picked up today, the other one is gonna go up in price by $100 by the time I have disposable $$$ for them.
Mr. David, my profile pic is the Gnarhunters Dunks w/ the bungie laces cut out (normal white SB ovals look better. I got two pairs anyways).

@@DavidBluetile I thought so, too. One of these two pairs of Gnarhunters will be the donor for a bespoke Misfits Dunk SB. That's why I bought two pairs. I've always wanted a bespoke Dunk SB, and I'm a lifelong Misfits fan. The black midsole/white outsole is perfect for the Misfits theme.
... the shoes will be in a black coffin shaped wooden box w/ red velvet interior. Based on the coffin box set from 1996...

Glad you did it for others to see. Couldn't be me though. I think they look best in their original state. Same with the Maui Wowies. I know I'm in the minority with that.

What about the UnionLA Dunk lows with the Shroud? I removed mine on all 3 pairs.

I have a question, do skateshops have a choice between raffling and first come first served? Just curious if Nike has a say in that part or not
in their release details nike recommends raffle but says if you think you can do a FCFS safely they leave that up to you. Quick Strike Product is strongly suggested to raffle. We started to go the FCFS route again but it got way too hectic and resellers were stacking the lines.
@@DavidBluetile I see, I’ve always been curious how it works behind the scenes with that. I just dislike how resellers buy a pair and then get back in line. I feel like that’s what causes problems because skaters and casual dunk collectors want pairs too. I definitely like the raffle system more but I have no luck winning them lol that’s why I always get excited when I see fcfs. Thank you for time as always and please keep making more videos! 🙏

where do i buy nike sb dunks every skate store in my country has seemed to stop the circulation
where are you? unfortunately we are not an online dealer and im pretty sure that US retailers are not allowed to sell internationally even if they are an authorized online dealer
@@DavidBluetile im in the UK, but a a retailer i think theres only some uk skate stores that have like all black versions for 100 pounds not like all the US versions that u see in sneaker stores
@@JaX1point6 the skate shoes are different from what’s in sneaker stores. Have you checked slam city? Or lost art? I’m going off memory so not sure exactly where those stores are.
