How’s this lip holding up after a while! Considering getting one. Also thanks for the video, only vid I can find that shown the underside and screws mounted.
@@HeroDrt420 hey man I appreciate it I know how frustrating that can be myself that’s exactly why I showed it, as far as the lip goes it’s held up just fine in all honesty, high speeds, crappy weather, even being low I scrape in some places and I’ve never had any issues. My only complaint is the clear plastic for the lights yellowed extremely fast (2-3 months) it’s fixable but still a bit of a bummer
Thanks for the video man just bought one myself. I can't really tell if your car has it looking from the bottom up, but did you leave on the dinky stock front lip that comes on the hatchbacks? Still looks like a clean install if you did!
Absolutely man and if it’s the lip I think you’re talking about yes I did. I didn’t have to take anything off this new lip used a lot of friction to hold itself up and it’s molded to fit both the stock “lip” and bumper. From the posts online it seems like you got the fitment under the fog lights perfectly with minimal gaps, do you have any tips on how to make it work? Mine is really stubborn and leaves a gap. I got a white civic so the gaps really stand out. Thinking I might just vinyl wrap a little where the gap shows lol
@@iDusk I left mine in the sun for a bit so it got really warm and malleable, when I was putting it on I managed to handled the hell out of it because the gaps were my biggest concern, I’ll probably still go back and put gasket eventually
I know this was posted about 6mos ago, but how is it holding up? Im planning on getting one as well but afraid itll break since I have about 5inch clearance off the ground and I live in Chicago so snow is the huge problem. What dyou think?
No worries man I plan on making an update video here soon just had a lot of family issues the last few months. The lip has held up fantastic I’ve had no issues I scrape here and there but nothing crazy. The only downside is the lights on the lip have yellowed just a little bit but to be fair I haven’t washed the car much because of the rain. All that said it’s been great and I have had 0 issues
@@danielarce2854 yea always put the emergency brake on no matter what. Don’t take any chances of the vehicle rolling no matter how high or low you intend on lifting the car. Yea I used two jack stands, if you don’t have two you can always put blocks of wood under the wheels to lift it. The main reason I used jack stands is because my car is lowered so I needed a little more clearance than usual
@Bobby_Builds_It oh really, and I have my civic with rear sequential lights on my bumper, and they are fading and wondering if I could apply sun protection for the led lights.
@@gamercat7004 you can, you’d have to polish them out first so the discoloration goes away and then you can either ceramic coat it or do the 2k clear spray
@@xanmann01 I believe the D2 springs I used are rated @ 2 inches both front and back. I have a pretty large sub box which made it about 3 inches in the rear
Hey man so I’m having trouble figure out the wiring for this and it keeps killing my battery. So red is power not signal? White is also DRL and signal and should be connected to signal wire not the red wire ? Where should I wire the red wire to ? Please help me 😭
I’m so sorry man I just saw this! the black wire will be your ground. You can put connect it straight to the chassis if you want. The red wire will be for the indicators so the closest spot would be the side signals on the fender. Splice in there and they will only come on when the light does. The white wire is the DRL easiest thing to do would be to wire it up to the back of the headlight where the drl connector is. That way it’s only on when the drl is on. Another way would be to have a switch hooked up to it but you’d have to run it all the way to the inside of the car. If you want hit me up on IG and I’ll hook it up this weekend and show you

Lip is absolutely solid no issues so far! I intend on hooking up the light soon just haven’t had a lot of extra time but I will be doing a review on it as well
@@LynnDisclose I’m on d2 lowering springs at the moment, this will change soon. I do have an exhaust in the works I’m waiting on fabrication. As well as a cold air intake. These should be around in the next few months with some other things.
@@Bobby_Builds_It I was thinking about doing a 3inch exhaust on mines from frontpipe back but with jpipes for drone 3inch will help engine breath regardless. Those famous aftermarket exhausts will just cost thousands. I already got muffler deleted a year ago or so. I don't want to change the downpipe yet because the car will throw plenty codes because showing that it not filtering polluted air. I got vibrant resonator as well
@@LynnDisclose I wanted to do the same but I’m not really sure about the drone and whether or the full 3 inch will cause any power issues. I’m attempting to stick with one company for everything that way troubleshooting is a bit easier as well as having warranty and basic a “support” team to lean on if and when any issues do occur. I’m personally looking at 27won. It is pricey but like I said I feel if everything is from one spot it’s easier to track issues
@@MrJrome90 there won’t be anywhere on the stock working harness for you to plug into, you’ll have to splice into something depending on how you’d like the lights to work. If you just want them to run with the DRL’s you can splice into those for the same effect. If you want them to run with indicators you’ll have to splice into the headlights/ indicator lights. The easiest in my opinion would be to splice into the fog lights because they are closest to the lip but you’ll only have them running if the fog lights are running.

Small things like LED lights all the way around, I have other videos on my LC2i installation as well as my lowering springs. Since this video came out I’ve been focused financially on my family but do have a few things on the way so there will be another video here soon! @@GODisGreat7-h7r aero kit is a kit that makes the car aerodynamic, depending on the kit, how well it’s made and how well it’s designed it can promote good performance as far as cornering, handling, as well as gas mileage because it makes the car cut through the air better while driving

@@danielarce2854 yea I had the car up on jacks, I wanted to make sure I had enough room to work and see everything

@@danielarce2854 yea always put the emergency brake on no matter what. Don’t take any chances of the vehicle rolling no matter how high or low you intend on lifting the car. Absolutely I haven’t had anything issues yet, I’ll be making a review of the lip soon with my honest opinions and changes I’ve made.

Paint the Honda chrome emblem black. That would look even more aggressive. I painted my fk7 emblem black
Looking at doing that or having a carbon fiber one made. I haven’t decided yet but chrome will definitely be gone soon 🤌🏼🤌🏼
