In this criminology video lecture, I provide a crash course and overview for beginners as well as students in the definition and meaning of criminology as taught at college and in university. Hopefully, the guidelines regarding the nature and scope of criminology explained in this quick introduction will help you with your criminology entrance exam, study, training, exercises, notes and essays. Criminology is relevant to other sciences such as penology, victimology, criminal justice, criminal law, history, and psychology degrees as well.
If you're interested in more fascinating criminology facts and findings, including the psychology of crime, feel free to check out my blog at www.criminologyweb.com

I actually came across criminology with the show "Mindhunters” and since im still in highschool i got hooked.I always loved to learn about how people are built and love discussing such things.I think for my age i have a really good understanding of people and now im just hooked.Im really going to love following criminology classes. Its really interesting to me how for example serial killers are built ; is it a crime of passion? What caused them to become that way?Why did they decide to start doing this?I really love figuring such things out. This is the study im going to be following.Ive never had so mutch interest in a class/study in my life

But the only thing which terrifies me is that if they gave me a particular case and I didn’t know how to solve it because it is complicated will they fire me?😂💔, and for anyone who loves these stuff I’d love to say that there is a podcast called criminology you can listen to it there are plenty of episodes and in each episode there is a fascinating story believe me you’ll enjoy it🕵️

In my observation of sociopaths it had come to my attention that they may have their own language? Or at least Grammer is different in their speech.
For instance the popular phrase "death to fascists" would really mean "death is in the hands of the fascists" or "the fascists are now responsible for death, we are not in this particular situation, but we are participating indirectly"
a type of sociopathic dyslexia if you will
This is an observation I have come by because I noticed quite a few people with narcissistic tendencies I know are Grammar Nazis. To the point that it seriously disturbs them. Probably as it deeply confused them.
We know very little about the sociopathic mind and how differently their perception is.
    Just a thought
This language is more perfected I'm the Eastern block and with languages that assign genders. Sociopath charts say anyway there is a higher concentration of sociopaths in former Eastern Block countries.
The conclusion would be is they feel limited in speech which triggers them (sociopathic rage) if someone doesn't keep their Grammer and they feel inferior. Pronouns may also be a trigger because we are not fully clear how sociopaths see gender.
It reminds me of how they say there are satanic messages in records when you play them backwords hahaha
From my experience sociopaths seem incaple soulful, colorful or poetic speech. And it seems to bother them tremendously.
This is another reason Eastern block countries have become so culturally impovershed during communism and now. They eloquent bible itself bothered them so much they destroyed , religion, poets, philosophers. Maybe now they see material value in the church and are the proverbial wolf in sheep's clothing now.

Sounds like forensic pathology, (you typically need formal medical training along with experience performing postmortem examinations) Here's an outline of how you can become qualified for such roles in various countries:
      United States and Canada:
Complete a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or another relevant field. This may take around four years in both North American systems, although exact durations may vary between institutions. GPA requirements and application procedures will depend on the institution you attend and the program you choose.
Enter medical school after obtaining your undergraduate diploma. Medical programs usually last four years and culminate in earning either a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.). Graduates then progress to residency positions, where practical hands-on clinical training takes place under licensed physicians' guidance.
Complete a Forensic Pathology Fellowship upon finishing your initial residency. This generally spans three academic years, during which trainees learn the intricacies of medicolegal death investigation and refine postmortem techniques. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) provides official accreditation standards for U.S.-based fellowships to ensure proper quality control. Upon successful completion, you must pass the American Board of Pathology's subspecialty certification examination in forensic pathology. Both the ACGME and ABPath offer detailed guidelines and resources to assist fellows seeking professional recognition.
Look for openings within local county coroners', state health departments', or regional medical examiner offices. Alternatively, you could join private consultant firms serving legal practitioners when public job opportunities aren't available. Be prepared to relocate, as vacancies may arise anywhere within your target regions. Once hired or employed, you would collaborate with law enforcement agencies, homicide investigators, judges, attorneys, and occasional psychiatric experts to determine causes of dea

What is the fundamental difference between criminology and forensic science.

    • @CriminologyWeb
      @CriminologyWeb  4 года назад +8

Forensic science is occupied with scientific evidence to solve a crime in a criminal investigation. Criminology, on the other hand, tries to explain crime and criminal behavior in general; it studies criminal behavior, its causes, its consequences, and prevention.

Depends a little on what you're looking for. Some books are more "dry" than others. Here are a couple of suggestions:
      - McLaughlin, E., & Newburn, T. (2010). The sage handbook of criminological theory. SAGE Publications. -->> This book is if you want to learn more about criminological theory. books.google.ch/books?id=WLV3Y4XcEPoC&printsec=frontcover&dq=newburn+sage+handbook&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiByo73o-3eAhVGJhoKHZYxCugQ6AEIKDAA#v=onepage&q=newburn%20sage%20handbook&f=false
      - Laub, H., & Sampson, R. J. (2003). Shared Beginnings, Divergent Lives: Delinquent Boys to Age 70. -->> Really interesting book about how offenders start and stop committing crime. Lots of case studies in it, too. books.google.ch/books?id=yfFnbDg03_cC&printsec=frontcover&dq=laub+sampson+shared+beginnings&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjSkPnqo-3eAhUPDewKHRmXCCoQ6AEIKDAA#v=onepage&q=laub%20sampson%20shared%20beginnings&f=false
      - Pinker, S. (2011). The better angels of our nature: The decline of violence in history and its causes. Penguin uk. ->> Fascinating read about how violence has declined over the past centuries.
      www.amazon.com/Better-Angels-Our-Nature-Violence/dp/0143122010/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1543678879&sr=8-1&keywords=steven+pinker+angels
