Does the floor stay dry? Is the rear transom watertight at bottom?

The FastCat12™ is an inflatable designed to ride above the waterline. The rear transom is not watertight by design. As a result, it's the fastest self-bailing hull in its class. Can this boat be run without the front bench seat in place? I need more deck space for camping excursions and my dog. I'm wanting to upgrade from a 437 Paddle Ski bought new but only been in the water twice. I realized I need a bigger boat, but I still must be able to do everything by myself.
Absolutely! Its no issue at all to leave the front bench seat out of the boat which will offer some nice bow deck space for your dog, gear or just space to move about.
I have the 437PS, but I need a hull that is more stable for standing up in choppy waters. I also need more deck space. However, I fish alone with my dog as my only companion. So, it is important to me that my boat is easy to set up and take down alone. Please give me your best recommendation. Thank you.
This boat is definitely a great option for you then. As long as you have a vehicle that will fit this boat deflated then it is a great option. I actually can fit it in the bed of my F-150 fully inflated and strapped down which is a huge plus. You can leave the front bench out for more room which also will save some time during the setup. The 5hp Honda is also great with the built in gas tank and its portability, for longer trips you can bring a small 1 gallon tank for additional fuel.

I live in north Idaho. I boat the Snake & Clearwater river's. Known for the rocky shallow water. Most boaters here use metal drift boats. How does this compare to those?
Hello C Carter, thanks for watching! Modern day inflatables are incredibly durable and provide excellent buoyancy. The draft for the FastCat12 is about 2-3". Hello Griff, it is not recommended to run the 4-person FastCat14 (big sister of the 2-person FastCat12) without front seat or a loaded cooler. You want to make sure the bow is weighted down. @@SeaEagleBoats Great idea ... adding a simple oars you now have another niche ... meaning more opportunities to sale your product. Some people don't want a motor. It adds more cost and some lakes and rivers are not allowed to have motors. So yeah I would really considerate ... And wile your add it I would like an oar system for the FS126 too, to be used for the extra seat height.
