@greatestytcommentator tell me about it. Technology is great. But imagine a fly by wore throttle sensor goes down. Your screwed. Cable snaps, you just bodge it or replace it.

You were throwing that BMW around quite well. It's all about getting the front tyre choice right. Enough knobbles and low enough psi. What pressures did you have? I reckon you could have gone down to 15 psi and turned that thing into an absolute tractor round the bends.

@motomoto2296 Thank you 😊 I didn't feel like it at times. Felt like I was really fighting it at some points.
To be honest, I was running stock road pressures with Mitas E07+ tyres on. Or Enduro trail as I believe they are called now. I always run road pressures due to hopping from lane to lane etc and most of them being rocky or shale etc.
I suppose though thinking of it, at somewhere like ABR, predominantly grass, what you've said makes sense. 🤔
Will give it ago next time. Thanks for the tip. 👍

A cracking, fun weekend by the look of it. Pity you had a few probs, but Custard always delivers in the end. You looked to be going very well out on the course! 👍

@kenbrooks7794 it was indeed. Was nice to see a few other funduros there too. Custard did ultimately bring a smile to my face and slowly slowly I got more and more comfortable. Come the Sunday, I was having lots of fun. On our 2nd round of the TRF trail (which I didn't film), I was beginning to slide custard bum around the corners and counter steer with the front like a flat tracker. It was great fun and something I want to practice more.
Unfortunately now however, custard is off the road again due to the electrical issue. I have nothing, no indicators, brake lights etc etc. I doubt I'm going to get rime to sort it before my TET trip and the end of the month. Most likely I am going to have to take the Big Girl......my Pan America. :)

@anidiotonboard6539 Yep she gives you a hard time for sure! I'm pleased that you started to bond with it a bit, I'm still convinced that there's potential to be a far better bike than the 450 Himmi ( but then I would say that I guess, as I'm a fan of elderly BMs....) 😉

@kenbrooks7794 I can't say I don't agree with you. The potential is there for sure. I've got a secret project I'm scheming at the minute to see if I can bring a little technology to custard to do something in the future, so I'm keen to get him back on the road. The 450 himi is great, and I saw one getting smashed around the track and jumping at ABR, but that was a professional world class enduro rider doing it. Your average Joe wouldn't manage that. Although I'm still not 100% on it. I think I expected too much of it and was let down.
For me, the perfect bike needs to be a blend of old school and new age. Custard with no electrics, kept running, smashed the weekend and got me home. If the same scenario were to happen on the new 450 himi, or even my Pan America or any other 'new age' bike, it'd be dead in the water.
Imagine an old school thumper like custard, cable throttle, cable clutch, etc. (easy to repair) but with some rider aids such as Traction Control. That would be awesome 👌 and when it all goes Pete Tongue, like custard did. Then all you loose is your TC. On alot of New age bikes, all the throttles are fly by wire. I.e electronic with no cables. Eeek, imagine if that stopped working. Your buggered.
