Unlike what you say about recalls, my ipsum had two recalls in Japan for air bags. You did not mention that you can fold the second set of seats down too and make a large area big enough for sleeping in - or carrying larger items. The spare tyre is underneath the car, which is a nuisance, but does give more space. Overall if you want a reliable, cheapish car which can carry seven or carry loads or act as a car to sleep in if need be, I think it is pretty good.
