@@maggaming7969 and it's in china(based on the letters on police uniform) which means most people just thinks it's a mix german shepherd and here are lots of strays and people don't normally take them home, just feed them(sorry for bad english) and deformaties are treated as bad luck and mostly abandoned(in my home town, dog with white feet are abandoned since it looks like they are wearing funeral fur)

Wow is it just me or what that way they removed the toes really barbaric/ horrific. It looks like they just cut off circulation to them so the toes would just die and fall off. Which I don’t believe is painless. I mean even just having a bandage wrapped to tightly can end up hurting over time so I shudder to thing of having something wrapped so tightly it just dies and falls off and leaves an open wound. You saw the poor dog limping. Staged or not, that seems really horrible and painful to thing about doing to something living. It’s 2024 there more advanced and human medical procedures than that. Just cause you can doesn’t mean you should.

I'm with you, I'm a cat person... But my husband wanted a GSD(she's 1/4 Dutch Shepard) and she's finishing her AKC good citizen training and I may enroll her in search and rescue... After my husband failed his duties of properly caring for her and left her with me when he moved for a job.
This little puppy didn't want to be with his owner. Perhaps the owner was not good to him. So, he went to the police, but they didn't speak dog. However, the puppy stayed with them, knowing he was safe. He wanted to repay their kindness, so he tried out for the K-9 training. And look at him now! He got a new name, Bawan, and a home and a huge family of fellow officers. He is one lucky dog!
Heartwarming story. I’m so happy this dog found a loving family in SWAT. He as a home and beautiful purpose. When he is older and retirement age please take him home as a pet and allow him back at the police force for visits. Dogs deserve the same lifelong devotion in return
