Hello, yes there is still a system in place for this using the Single vehicle approval method. You would have to research your individual needs for this and use the appropriate category of classification.
Am in the middle of building one out of my 125 intrepid shifter kart how do u deal with charging the battery do u need a charging circuit or just charge when parked
Thanks for getting in touch, we just charge them when parked. A 12v battery will easily do you a few hours out driving 👍🏻

I presume that you wouldn’t need to pay road tax with an electric go kart, also what weight class would it come under if it had 30kw of power?
Hi, with a zero emissions vehicle and the weight class we would say it looks like no tax to pay.
Can this also be done in Australia so I can have a Road Registered Go kart in Australia please?

How do you get the electric from the engines???
Hello Craig, we are just using a 12v battery with no charge system. with LED lights they easily last all day and night and then put on charge when you get home. You may be able to use a dynamo onto the rear axle if you need to aid charging.

Hi, Adrian Flux has so far been great with number 1 and 2. As soon as it’s fully registered they have a number plate to work from 👍🏻

Hello, no we don’t sorry. The full instructions are on our channel though so you can build and register your own.

Yes you probably could if you don’t go through the MSVA 👍🏻
Do u need a fall driving license for this
If it’s under 11kw you could drive it on a CBT at 16. For the bigger engines you would need a car licence or motorbike.

Without painting the pods this one was £1300 including the kart.
